2016 DRAFT Signing Tracker ... FINAL, JULY 15

Braves must have come back with a stronger offer, I guess. Seems like he was acknowledging the Auburn commitment yesterday.

It will be interesting to see Anderson's numbers when they come out. I'm betting it is closer to $3.3 million than the $4 million that John Heyman has been throwing around.

Brian Bridges, Roy Clark, John Coppollela, and whoever else was involved with this draft did a freaking masterful job.

Now, let's remove the interim tag from Brian Snitker and move forward.

Callis tweets that Howell at No. 20 got slot at $100 K. He reversed on his college commitment when drafted by the hometown Braves.

If Ian Anderson does sign for $3.75M, we probably can offer Shumpert only about $150k by my calculations ($50k over slot). Not sure he will sign for that little.

Upon drafting Anthony...

"whoa, those stats are gaudy, lots of tools, I really hope we can sign him".

Upon learning that Anthony is headed to Auburn....

"meh, JUCO stats are worthless anyway, guys a bum and there's a reason he fell to the 16th"

Upon learning Jimmy Johns was correct...

"YUGE"

Not me.. I was disappointed that he was going to AU.. I am ready to see Nelsony and Anderson locked down so all this bonus money can be added up..

Any word if Anthony will be playing C or 3B?

I haven't heard but I hope they have him playing 3b or of instead of c so he can better concentrate on his hit tool. Our system will have two high profile catching prospects sign this year (Cumberland and Gutierrez) and has Herbert from last year. I also have doubts that Anthony can stay behind the plate in the majors. Might as well have him spending time at a position he is more likely able to handle in the majors IMO.

Besides, if his bat does turn out to be a nice power bat, I want him hitting everyday not every four of five days if he were a catcher.
