The Trump Presidency

To weso's comments earlier:

The reviews outside the White House were more mixed. "The guy up there seems crazy," said one senior GOP aide. "I've thought that the whole time."

The aide acknowledged, though, that the audience wasn’t necessarily Washington. "But how does this play outside the beltway? It might play pretty well. I can't say if he killed it or if he was terrible. I just know I was watching the whole time, the whole hour and 20 minutes,” the aide said.

"We were all riveted. Were you not? Have you ever seen a press conference like that from a president?"

Not necessarily wrong, but definitely predicatable.

Apparently Harward, who was acclaimed by consensus as an excellent choice, has turned down the NSAdvisor job.

Can't imagine why.

"Do you believe that if Republicans were obstructing Obama like Democrats are doing to President Trump, the mainstream media would attack Republicans?""

I really want to live in the Alternate reality Trump has been living in where republicans weren't obstructing Obama.

It's fantasy land. That's all the Republicans did for 8 years is be against anything Obama proposed and bitch about Obamacare. Yet "shockingly" they have no plan to replace it despite 6 years of complaining.

I'm just stunned that people still aren't convinced that this guy is the ultimate con-man. He lies all the time not to mention the conflicts of interests (which he's going to make so much money off of).

I'm a registered Republican and am ashamed that no one in my party is standing up against this fraud and actually putting country before party.

Good for you but most people believe what they deem it to be in their best personal interest to believe. This is usually nothing more than going with the flow of those around them.

Egads.

I can't help but feel like this reinforces my point. You are trying to rope Betsy DeVos in with Amway and Blackwater? That's ... a stretch.

Neurocore? Really? If anything, the enterprise demonstrates that she's willing to consider unconventionally innovative approaches. I guess you support the continued over-medication of American children with legal amphetamines.

I give you credit for trying harder than anyone else, though.

This is not a list of my personal complaints. You said no one could mention anything besides "inexperience," so I listed a bunch of the common criticisms I've heard. Since you've already apparently thought about a lot of these things, I guess you weren't being completely honest.

But... rope her into Amway... um, what? That's... her family's... whole thing? I'm confused.

I supported Harward when it came to his interesting ideas in regards to the defense of the country, but I ultimately found his offensive solutions to be a bit lacking.

And now you suddenly support the same strategy.

well, a majority didn't want this president so, sure

i don't see a problem with it

cause some people that post here, well, post here, i understand he is president and won the contest the way the system is setup to determine it. that doesn't change the fact that a majority of voters didn't want him and it's silly to act like he has a mandate by voters to act like all of this is wanted

Just admit you're a hypocrite and move on...

As it turns out, nobody won the majority vote

To be honest I haven't been paying much attention lately. What were some of his ideas, offensive and defensive?
