I didn't see it but I heard old friend Jair Jurrjens has been topping out at 93-94 mph in the WBC. That caught me by surprise but if true I'd give him a minor league deal right now. If he can throw that hard again that's a good sign he might finally be healthy with that knee issue that did so much damage to his career. That said, I am guessing someone will sign him soon if that's true and since it would be such a low risk move I'd hope he comes home again.

I'm hoping someone picks him up if that's true about his stuff. Netherlands are doing pretty good right now.

I know this isn't the regular season, but man some of our main relievers were torched today.

My two cents...if Viz, Cabrera or Ramirez heat up near the trade deadline....we need to sell high. All the talent in the world with those guys, but not sure any of them will ever be consistent enough to be relied on.

They could have left him down there a little longer, but he was looking good early on at Gwinnet; right before he came up he threw 7 innings / 0 ER / 10 SOs. Guy was 23 years old, I'm not sure you can really fault the Braves for 'rushing' him.
