Thread for Games ...

Folty never had to worry about his spot, but yes, it is signed, sealed and delivered now. today was probably his best performance of spring. He took exception to a few ball calls and got some excuse me hits... but never let anything spiral out of control. The homer was an ambush on the first pitch of inning. that was just the wrong pitch at the wrong time kind of thing.

If he averages 13 Ks a game, he can complain after every pitch.

Considering the mental game is Folty's biggest weakness, I would argue the mental aspect behind the bitching and moaning is the primary reason holding Folty back. When/if he conquers the mental/emotional part, that's when I suspect he will reach his potential.

if Colon blows up.

Foley was always going to be in the rotation. You don't give up on pitcher with his stuff.

It's going to be more pitcher friendly than Toronto which is a homerun haven.

Yea, plus the scoreboard at Suntrust may effect how well balls carry too as that's been the case in others similar. They were talking to Coppy about this in a recent interview and he even said we won't know for sure till we play the games there but that overall the park should be more fair like Turnerfield was. Whatever the case, no way will it be the homerun haven like in Toronto and the NL East is not like pitching in the AL East ballparks in general either. So I am not sure how anyone cannot see that point of my post.

Interesting note on MLB Trade Rumors... apparently the White Sox said the best offer for Quintana didn't come from the Astros, Yankees, or Pirates. The best offer was said to be from more of a rebuilding team and he is more likely to be dealt in the summer. I wonder if the offer was from the Braves.

I had the same thought. Wonder what we did offer.

Hmm. That is interesting. I bet it was -- and if so, then it's kind of nice to know the Braves are serious about contending.

Apparently we have offered several times for Pagan.

He may not want to come to a rebuilding team although hitting .188 in the WBC shouldn't motivate us to pony up either.

The White Sox came out and said he's likely to be dealt this summer?
