Our farm is #1 and that's great. How impressive is it for Houston to have one of the top teams in baseball and a top 5 farm. That is N.U.T.S!!

Kind of like the 1990s Braves. Houston has done really well. Like nsacpi's post points out, their high draft picks have worked out for the most part and have become contributors or trade pieces.

I think Albies is definitely an elite prospect. I mean, if he's not, then the 'elite' category is probably too narrow to be worth much.

This has nothing to do with much, but man Robbie Alomar was a hell of a player.

I can see why if you don't think Albies is going to have 15 HR power that you would not consider him to be elite.

But at this point, why would you think that? He's showing increased power in AAA at 20.

I think Anderson not even being listed as "good" is more egregious, but I, too, consider Albies elite.

John Calvagno, who scouts the Sally League, on Cristian Pache:

Cristian Pache (Braves) is #3 on my Sally top 25, he’s pretty well put together, hell be 6’2″ 200+ at peak. The bat speed is plus and the ball jumps off of his barrel. He works the count and sprays the ball around. He’s also a 70 grade runner and a potential gold glove CF. He has the potential to hit 290 with 20+ bombs and 30 SB (at least early in his career). Why isn’t he included in the top group? Again you have to squint, he’s hitting the ball in the air 19% of the time right now. He’s shown next to no game power but he’s a rugged young man. If he finds some lift I suspect he’ll have power to all fields. He’s got an enormous ceiling

Calvagno on Maitan:

SS) Kevin Maitan (Braves) A 17 year old sturdy switch hitter I guessed 6’1″ 225 lbs after seeing him recently. Left handed he’s got premium bat speed and the ball explodes off of his barrel. He also showed solid bat to ball skills and an all field approach. A potential plus hitter with potential double plus raw power. I have to get some more looks at the right hand swing before I can comment. If I were to rank every player I saw this season Maitan would be #1 on the list, he’s that impressive. He compares very favorably with the 2016 group, If there was a chance he could stick at SS I would have him up with Brendan Rodgers.

I haven't seen Pache near as many times as that guy, but I have a hard time seeing Pache as a 20+ homer guy with his current swing. That seems very optimistic.

Wow, that is a glowing report on Pache. Had no idea he had that kind of bat speed and potential power. Definitely seems like he needs to increase that launch angle, but if he has that kind of offensive ceiling...wow.
