He's more back of rotation and I'm not arguing that he isn't a innings eater. We just have a few of those already.

So what if Camargo was offered instead of Riley.
Not saying I would want to do this at all, but he would surely carry more value than Riley and Riley would be a viable replacement that should perform at a similar level.
Mariners and padres working on a deal that would send Jean Seguria and Mike Leake to the Padres for Wil Myers
Dietrich just got DFA’d.
Ohhhhhhhh snap this is huge. We need to be all over Dietrich. He fits our bench like a freaking glove.

I think I like that one for Padres.
I can understand wanting to dump payroll, but why would anyone want Myers and that Gawd awful contract??
Segura has averaged 4 WAR over the last 3 years and is on a very reasonable deal. He has got to have pretty nice value. Leake has negative value, but at least he can be bought out by 2021. Myers is nothing but negative value with a contract that doesn't expire til 2023. I the M's are only saving like 7ish million a year (my math could be wrong). What a terrible, terrible trade for Seattle.
Why the hell would the Marlins DFA him?

Edit: I should say, I don't think he is the greatest fit out there from a baseball standpoint. But from a cost of acquisition to value point of view, he's a fantastic fit.

Isn't he pretty much terrible everywhere defensively?
