Perfect Cell those are the Free Agents for 2019?

yeah the OF market is pretty bad next offseason. This year with Polock and Harper its better

Anyways I wonder if the off the field issues lowered Familias price range... with Andrew Miller, Zach Britton Joe Kelly among others its still a buyers market imo.

Kelly signed with the Dodgers 3 years $25 million

I would think Ottavino and Britton would be cheaper but I also suck with estimations on the reliever market... I would like one of those guys but still want Minter closing unless he struggles

Kimbrel had a 1.5 WAR last year (3.13 FIP 3.12 xFIP)
Minter had a 1.4 WAR last year (2.72 FIP 3.62 xFIP)

Its laughable that there are actually Braves fans that would give up $100 million for Kimbrel.

I want Minter as the closer... he could easily end up turning into a Diaz after such a successful rookie campaign with his stuff. Get a couple more solid pen arms that can be high leverage, but goodness gracious we don't need a freaking closer.

I agree totally here. I'm actually pretty OK with the pen and happy with our closer options, even if it is a committee.

Whoever isn't traded (Touki, Fried, Wright, Anderson, Gohara, plus possibilities such as Gray, Sanchez, etc...)

Forgot about Soroka, likely the best of the bunch. Of all the upgrade potential areas, I think SP should be the least of our worries.

Most teams would be thrilled with 4th and 5th starters made up of the crew listed above, but ultimate troll is ultimate

Also agree that Soroka is the best of the bunch and I'd probably put Gohara slightly behind him. Touki presents a ton of upside, mainly because I think he's the most unrefined of that group and still is scratching the surface. I think that Newk and Fried are who they are at this point of their careers, Newk especially.

I don't really understand why we would go after Grey unless we truly believe that he's a TOR starter in a bad situation. Frankly, guys that size scare me as they get older and he's now 29. Granted, his FB velo has maintained up to this point, but it's scary nonetheless.

I don’t trust Viz or Minter to be healthy all season. I think that’s why we need to find a reliable late inning arm. I don’t really care who closes.

So... why exactly do you expect both guys to get injured?

They both don’t have to be hurt to hurt the team. If Viz goes down for a month then you only have minter to lean on. It will wear out your pen fast. I would like to have three quality late inning relievers and a few young upsiders like Sobo and Biddle and winkler.

Rule 5 today btw.

Only guy I could see being taken is Didder and that would be a long shot. Great athlete that is still learning how to apply his tools, but as Fangraphs pointed out, he is versatile and is at least an average defender at SS and 2B and is plus/plus in CF and RF. I could see a rebuilding team keeping him around as a 25th guy. If he ever learns to hit consistently, he could be somebody.

Yeah. I wouldn’t mind keeping him. Nothing else he likes to get hit by pitches. That is the 6th tool no one ever talks about.

I think 10m is probably more than the Braves will be spending on reliever acquisitions combined and I don't see them making a three year commitment to any of them.

I think something more like one year, possibly two year deals at 5-6m range.
