Source: Following through with his deadline, #Phillies owner John Middleton informed Scott Boras tonight that his offer for Bryce Harper is off the table. Phillies expected to pivot now to the other free agents still available.

Not sure what the final agreement will be, but #Dodgers offered Harper multiple options:

1) A 3-year $120M deal. Would re-enter free agency at age 29. Highest AAV in #MLB.

2) 10-years for $310M, front loaded (40M years 1-3, 30M years 4-6, 25M 7-10) with an opt-out after year 3.

Wait... I thought l read here that we were definitely headed for fourth place in the division?

So if the Phil’s don’t get Brycee that makes us definite favorites?

Ya people may wanna look at those Vegas odds and expected win totals.
As the Braves showed last season, they are not set in stone but they usually are a pretty good gauge of where teams will end up.Washington is gonna be tough, lots of things went wrong for them last year and they still fought us till the last weeks.
I believe a lot of our young players will outperform the projections but I also believe that will be balenced out by our vets underperforming (Neck,Mccan,Ender,)
Season will hinge on JD and Acuna.
I believe in our strength in numbers when it comes to our pitching but I’m not as optimistic on our bats as most around here but I hope I’m wrong and we repeat.
 
Fake report or not...this is a great week. Either the Phils do not get Harper or they pay way too much for him. Win/Win.

The Dodgers already have a great offense, so adding Harper definitely makes them better....but he will have less of an impact there.
 
The greatest thing, if it happens, is that Philly can’t get him to come there for over 300 million. That’s how bad that place is. There are some things even stupid money can’t buy! I hope LA signs him and makes a trade with us. Then, Philly being embarrassed overpays for another player.
 
Once a guy gets a name like Bryce Harper, I don't understand why he even uses an agent. Why not go Ray Allen and do the deal yourself? Negotiate a deal, and then get a lawyer to check it out before signing it.
