Exactly. Teams don't love to trade for guys that are super young and unproven unless their absolute studs. Most of the guys on that list are no where near that. A lot of them don't have a ton of trade value right now.

Dodgers have a better system than we do and can offer more than Price than we can.

You disagree.

LOL. Jesus christ dude. I don't even know why I bother responding to you.

Ok then, what would it cost for Price then, from our end?

They may not get a Myers type for him but its gonna cost a LOT.

A LOT. It would cost A LOT. Probably more than I'd want to give up.

I think it would cost someone from our big league team IE Heyward, Simmons, JT, MM, or FF.

I dont know if the Dodgers will get him but they can offer more than we can at re-sign him to a huge deal.

A front 3 of Kershaw, Greinke, and Price with Ryu as the #4 would be unfair.

Dodgers surprisingly have plenty of prospects to trade.

I'm sure they have plenty of prospects. But not really a plethora of good ones. And hardly anything that is close to ML ready.

The Rays will demand as much high quality major league ready talent as they can for Price. They have done that pretty much every time they have traded one of their star players.

The Dodgers simply don't have that, aside from Puig, whom they aren't trading. Ryu maybe, but he has 6 yr s remaining on his contract and he's not your typical rookie at 26-27 yr old. Don't know that he would hold all that much value in a trade.

My point with the Dodgers was, they don't have the prospects to get him. I don't think we do, either. I didn't say what system I thought was better.
I think the Dodgers have a better shot at getting him than we do, but it will take someone from their ML club. I don't see the Rays being too interested in an injured Kemp and his contract. That's what the Rays traditionally have avoided.

Uh yeah I disagree, at least on what we can offer. We can offer one of JT or Wood plus Sims and others for Price (not saying we should do that necessarily). What can Dodgers trade that can match the value of Wood or JT?

No they can't. Plz tell me exactly what the Dodgers have that is so great?

Why would we offer JT for 2 years of Price, really guy?

And Pederson, Seager, Lee, maybe Ryu whose on a cheapish contract, and some others.

We could use Wood, Sims and someone like Gattis, which I think is better than what the Dodgers would offer. Promise you they'd rather have Wood than Ryu.

Seager > Gattis.

Wood/Sims is a push to the pitchers they could offer.

Ryu is proven had a 3ish ERA as a rookie, doesnt make a ton of money.

He's 26, will be 27 when the season starts. The Rays, based on their past, would much rather have a younger arm that they can control for a longer time.
