GDT 5-8 X Rated Horror Soroka Special: DEATH BLOW

I honestly thought Soroka got gassed after 3 last time out. His stuff looked great until then and a lot better than it did in Toronto and then he slammed into the wall. Those two innings compiled with today's start might mean he misses his next start for rest.

Definitely not the old days where these guys could pitch deep with no issue.

sadly, yes. He was slowing down before then but then just halted and fell off the cliff.

One of the things that I think he needs is a hug from Snitker in reality lol.

The interesting thing is that while Soroka's last right start hasn't been for a while, Fried, who hasn't even gone 150+ seems to be finding another wind. Although it's been helped by incorporating new pitches.
 
Hot take:

If you want to try to not skip starts, just hook Soroka here. It's obvious to me over the last 4 that he's finally running into that wall.

I don't even think that take is that hot, it's near common sense (maybe try to get through a third in case you can't get someone called up in time for the pen reinforcement for the next game). But it won't happen.
 
Just take him out and let him rest. Lol the series has been won. No reason to put more on his arm at this point, especially when he really doesn’t have it
