Lol what a copout reub.
I don't get how a Knicks fan can say anything though. They stink and carmelo is one of the worst "superstars" of all time. Not sure why any franchise that wants to win it all would want him. Not a smart, good team player.

**** Miami, by the way. Even in the regular season, it's always nice to beat them (and bad).

How is that a copout? My argument was based on my knowledge of New York considering I lived here for 30 years. If you understand the dynamics between the boroughs and realize that basketball is much more important in Brooklyn than it is in Manhattan then you would realize why I said what I said.

Who cares about the boroughs...people that have been rooting for the Knicks their whole lives aren't going to just start rooting for the Nets because they have "Brooklyn" across the chest. Sure a couple of non die-hard fans and a couple of posers that wanna be "cool" will switch but if you seriously think the Nets will ever "take over" NY, you're on a crazy amount of drugs.

Thats where you are wrong completely. People from Brooklyn have so much civic pride that they will want to switch allegiances. How many "true" fans are there in sports? I would say 80% of a fanbase is not die-hards as is. So you're basically talking about a large amount of basketball fans that would switch based on if a team moved closer to them. Look at Giles with the Nats. Don't you think that happens in a lot of places? People from Manhattan pale in comparison to people from Brooklyn in how much they care about their neighborhoods and how much they love basketball. If you don't agree then you just don't understand the New York dynamic.

So much civic pride that they let Knick fans invade their building to the point it sounded like a home game at MSG.

BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKLYN

The Nets have already peaked, they aren't going to gain popularity. They traded for KG/PP/Terry and signed Kidd as a coach....and that still wasn't enough. Now after the trade, they've set their franchise back 5 years and are in the worst cap situation in the league.

BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKLYN

THE TAKE OVAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

The Knicks have played horrible but even if they don't turn it around, Melo and Bargs can opt-out and Stat is a huge expiring and they have their pick next year. Quick turn around, the Nets don't have that....this was IT and it's OVER.

If Reggie Jackson gets a chance to a be a starting PG in this league somewhere he will haev some seasons averaging 20 PPG. Kid is really breaking out. I hope we give him Perkins is money.
