NBA Thread

You know nothing about college basketball, you don't even make sense with whatever point you're trying to make. The main reason Baylor always fell short was because of PJ3 and his lack of a motor, caring, whatever you want to call it. The dude was/is soft and failed to come up big in any of the big spots....go read any scouting report on him, it will all say the same stuff. Dude has all the talent in the world but just doesn't care or try...if you want to put your name behing those players, then go ahead but 9 times out of 10 they don't change their ways.

Whats the difference why they fell short? The argument is the level of talent that he played with and the bottom line is that he didn't play with NBA level talent. Lets see if his game steps up when he has better players around him.

I remember when Giles said that Reggie Jackson was a bum. Good times.

I can't wait till we look back in two years at how wrong some were on Jeremy Lamb. Kid is a big time shooter.

A bum? Bc I said you are dumb for calling hi the best backup pg in the league (after claiming Maynor was)?

Well again, Maynor was prior to his injury and Jackson is definitely hte best right now. Guy is a legit starting NBA point guard.

BRule, what do you think of all this talk of lack of ball movement from Amare?

It's obviously correct but it's not all Melo...no one passes the ball other than Pablo, KMart, Shump and that's the O that Woodson runs, all ISO. D is the bigger problem, though, none of this is shocking...as soon as Tyson went down, I said our season is over.

Its definitely not ALL Melo but you are fooling yourself if that comment wasn't sort of directed at him. Again, I am so hard on Melo because its so clear that he is as talented as any player in basketball. He should be mentioned in the same sentence as Lebron/KD but he isn't because to me he is a selfish/lazy basketball player.

With Bledsoe starting now, Jackson is absolutely the best.

Who is better?

Jackson could be a starting point guard for at least 1/3 of the teams in the NBA. That dude is a legit baller. I just hope he doesn't break out so much that we can't re-sign him. If I were Presti I would give him a 3 year extension right now.

Never said it wasn't directed at him but Amare is just as bad as Melo at killing ball movement. Also Melo is averaging like 27 and 10 this year, so Amare should shut the hell up, the team is like minus 20 every game when he comes in.

Melo and Bargs (to a lesser extent) get the bulk of the Knick criticism, but they're the only ones producing at all. When Felton has played, he has been easily a bottom 10 PG. Shumpert has been terrible. Smith has been beyond terrible. Ditto Stoudemire. Udrih and World have been bad. Pablo and KMart have been passable. This team needs Tyson back in the worst way. They'd still be thoroughly mediocre, but they would be a lot closer to .500 now if he never got hurt.

All depends how much he wants.

With Perk, and Thabo possibly off the books soon, they have enough to keep him unless he'd command a max deal from someone.

Or in the 10 million range.

You don't watch the Thunder play if you don't think that Ibaka was more important to this team long term than Harden would have been.

There are only three teams in the east with a record over 500.

There are three teams in the west with records over 500 that aren't in the playoffs if the season ended today.
