Ok I think I have this Taysom Hill situation figured out. The NFL being a copycat league I believe Sean Payton is promoting Taysom to maximize his trade value. I believe he is trying to get a late first round pick but second round is most likely. They gave him a first round tender but if anyone signed him for QB money there is no chance we could match it. I think there is a strong market for him in the second round as just a quality backup who gets in a handful of snaps at QB. Say a team like the Bears. Their head coach used to be on Saints staff. I think the Ravens should make a run at him and use him and Lamar Jackson in the game at the same time.

Word has it that the Bears fans were pushing management to sign Dak Prescott to back up Mitchell Trubisky...

Tom Brady going to Tampa, Dante Fowler going to Atlanta, Nick Foles going to the Bears on a new contract, then there's that bananas stupid DeAndre Hopkins for David Johnson and a second round pick trade the Texans made. Interesting start to the FA. NFC south looks like it's gonna be a pretty tough division.

strongly doubt any team is willing to give up a 2nd for Taysom Hill.

Hooper for Hurst

I forgot about that. Seems like Falcons are pushing all the chips in. My guess if they fail this year is Quinn and Dimitroff are canned, Ryan is traded to a team of his choice, and they nuke it and start again.

I don't personally agree with trading Ryan, I want him to be a Falcon forever. but i know a lot of people have sentiment where they wish Ryan could go somewhere he would have a shot at winning a Super Bowl.

I dont know how I missed this but a Vikings player from 2009 was quoted in Favres book saying the Vikings used a bounty program that included intentionally trying to injure players. Never been investigated.... I want our damn draft picks back....

Lol. Maybe that's why the Vikings and Favre were quite about the saint's bounty to injure him.

Because they were doing it too.

Reminds me of the Bosox being quiet when Astros got caught because they didn't ant want anyone to find out what they were doing.

So thinking about the past decade in boredom, 2011 had to be the best draft.

First 6 picks were all hits.

Newton, Miller, Dareus, Green, P. Peterson, Julio.

7th pick was great but retired early (Aldon Smith) First (and only bad in top 10) was Jake Locker at 8. 9th had Tyron Smith, 10th had Blaine Gabbert, 11th had JJ Watt.

Of players taken in that draft multiple of them are or at one point were considered elite at their positions. Miller was one of the best edge rushers in the NFL for years. Green and Julio were top 2-4 receivers for a long time, P. peterson was one of the better Corners. JJ Watt is probably the best defensive player of this decade. Etc.

Later quality picks include Robert Quinn, Ryan Kerrigan, Mike Pouncey, Nate Solder, Prince Amukamara, Cameron Jordan, Jimmy Smith, Mark Engram, Andy Dalton, Colin Kaepernick, Steve Wisniewski, Randall Cobb, Torrey Smith, Justin Houston, Richard Sherman, and a number of others.
