Being successful convicting people of crimes might be seen as "doing the right thing" to a prosecutor, and to a lot of voters.

Here's a sad piece of news for you - ambitious folk interested in their own personal success often rise to the top in other fields, too. Sorry.

I saw where New Zealand's dictator decided to delay their election. I've been thinking about how the US could delay the election for a year without massive unrest. My personal simple formula:

Trump would have to step down.
Pence would have to be president with a milquetoast vp pick.
Promise not to appoint new supreme court judges for that year.

could you please post this in the coronovirus thread so as not to interrupt our discussion about mailboxes

oh and maybe brush up on election procedures and law in new zealand...the parliamentary system in some countries allows for snap or early elections and probably a fair amount of discretion that our system does not

Looking at some of those pictures makes me wonder if maybe hydroxychloroquine is being smuggled in those mailboxes...that way lives can be saved while simultaneously thwarting voting by mail
