I thought it came out that he was under investigation for money laundering when the probe began and that it’s changed in scope to just tax fraud.

Genuinely asking here, can you provide a link that shows that the current investigation into Hunter Biden shows that the laptop story is true?

That’s the thing, we don’t know. The story before the election was that Biden left a laptop at a computer shop that held explosive evidence of wrongdoing and the owner provided that information to Rudy. The media doubted that story. If there isn’t a laptop out there that held that information, then it was right of the media to be skeptical of the specific story. If it turns out that they had sources within the DOJ that could provide information regarding the current investigation, then it would be wrong not to have reported that.

I’m certainly questioning it as a source for the things it’s claimed to be. I’m in no position to outright reject it. I’ve just yet to see a credible link between the laptop and any of the things being investigated, let alone the things claimed in the preeelection stories that have not been confirmed to be part of the investigation.

You do understand that there were real emails and real executed legal agreements on there right? Did you also notice that Biden never actually denied the accuracy of the content and only that it was Russian disinformation.
 
And anyone has to wonder if they are lying about the election?
