NBA Thread

I'm takling about top 10 all time greatness. That is where KD will end up as long as he wins some championships.
 
When I talk about NBA greats I am talking about top 10 of all time. That is where KD is headed if he wins some rings.

TMac and Gervin off the top of my head put up similar numbers, probably 1-3 points less per game but probably really close. I'm sure there are others but don't have the time to look right now.

TMAC was no where close to as efficient as KD (both from the field and from 3) and Gervin wasn't the playmaker/rebounder/3 point shooter that Durant is.

Valiant efforts but in the end you are showing just how unique Durant is.

TMac is 2-3% off on FG% and 3 pt% if you want to nitpick, go ahead....I certainly don't care enough to go back and forth over 2-3%.

If you want to say KD is the only player of his kind, then again, go ahead....you're a homer, so I expect that. When he wins something, get back to me

Melo is also having a 26/9/3 season but dude is just a chucker, right?

Player/FG%/3PT%

TMAC/.435/.338
Anthony/.455/.338
Durant/.477/.376

Lets be mindful that KD's numbers are more like to go up as he continues in his career. The disparity is huge. So for now KD's shooting numbers eclipse TMAC by .04/.04 which is HUGE.

Anthony is an awesome player but his lack of consistent effort is what makes me degrade him. He is playing with not much around him so I think his year gets a little of a pass since he is shooting 44%. He just isn't on the level of KD.

Again, you keep trying but you can't find a comp for what Durant is. He is truly unique and one of the greatest talents that has ever played this game. Oh yeah, still only 25. What if he continues to get better. Lebron keeps on getting better each year so why should we expect that from KD?
 
No more inadequate comparison Brule? Are you resigned to the fact now that Durant is one of a kind and is playing at a level that is on par with what many feel is the greatest player of all time?
