Westbrook could be back by the 27th apparently. Man, I hope he is healthy. This year could be special. RJ/Lamb got GREAT experience while Russ was down.

I got some inside scoop from his poker game. They won't say it, but he doesn't think he'll be back soon after the all star break like has been reported.

What the hell is this poker crap?

I doubt he returns then too, as well.

KD continues his rampage to a MVP award.

Here comes another classic thethe statement:

If Durant continues his improvement for the next 2-3 years he will be as good as Lebron.

THERE! I said it! WHAT!

KD is the MVP.

No way around it, he's in a zone right now.

I'd consider resting him tommorow though.

They won't rest him. He is 25 years old. He may only play 35 mins but tomorrow is a big game. Have to let these West teams know that they don't even have a chance even with RW hurt. You add RW to this team and you are talking about NBA champs.

KD is in all out beast mode right now.

Thats probably true.

If it gets out of hand, you pull the starters and wave the white flag.

Who knows, maybe KD drops 50+ and puts the team on his back.

-Mo Williams on Kevin Durant's 46-point, 5-rebound, 4-assist performance: "They way he was playing, he probably could have scored on Jesus."

“Screens being set for me. Passes on time and on target. Perk is giving his body up for me, Serge is giving his body up, Steven, Nick, the bigs are doing a great job of getting me open,” he said. “My teammates do a great job of setting me up. It’s far more than just me. It’s a small part actually what I do. It’s moreso the plays coach calls, the screens being set, the passes being passed. I think the end result is just on me trusting in the work to knock down shots.” - Kevin Durant

How can you not all out root for this guy? Just amazing how much better he has gotten each year.

No point in responding anymore

Anyways....with the way KD is playing sans RW, have you changed your mind on the whole keeping RW over Harden debate? Or trading RW for other pieces and getting a pass first PG to team with KD?

No, the Thunder are a far better team when RW is playing. They barely lost this year with him in the lineup. This just shows that KD can put up the numbers Lebron put up (and maybe even better) if he was the only big player on the team. But Lebron could only win when he got other stars and KD is going to need RW to win a title justl ike every other great player in the history of basketball.

You will never see just how great RW is because you don't watch them on a regular basis.

Also, why would the Thunder trade a top 5 player that is signed long term and fits so well with KD?

No, if they were to trade Russ and go with Reggie (not happening)

I'd want a defensive SG and better pieces.

Lance Stephenson comes to mind.

RW is a top 5 players?????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Also, I think the last 2 weeks makes it pretty clear that RW is holding KD back.

You are insane. Many people consider RW a top 5 player. He dominates on the floor and controls the game.

Of course KD could get more of a statline without RW but they win more with RW so nobody is being held back.

Is that gap closing between KD/Lebron yet?

And no, they made the right move with Harden/Russ.

1- Russ plays defense, and fits the team perfectly.

2- Harden doesnt play defense, and only cares about his numbers, not a team player.

3- Russ is absolutely a top 5 player, before he went down, he was playing like the best PG in basketball.

4- How was Russ holding KD back? Every great player needs another star alongside them to win a title, even LeBron so i dont get where you're going with this. KD could probably average 35+ without Russ but they wont win a title that way.

I wouldn't say Harden wasn't a team player. He has a right to be the lead dog on the team. Guy is talented enough to do it. Westbrook though was happy to take a backseat to KD. It took some time but that marriage is working beautifully.

Who's your top 5?

And no Bron is still leagues better than anyone in the NBA.....KD is all-time great scorer but he doesn't have Brons all around game and never will.
