NBA Thread

Forbes just released that the Knicks are the most profitable team. Amazing with how horrible ownership is that they are so profitable. Good for them. It will be interesting to see if they go into the luxury tax when the opportunity presents itself.

So again Brule, you used to use the arguments that Melo is so great because he scores. So, if KD is a much better scorer than Lebron doesn't that make it closer?

Melo is proving this year he does way more than score but stick that script if you wish. KD takes 4 more shots a game than Bron....if Bron took 20 shots a game he would be scoring 30 a game as well.

That wasn't even what I was trying to say about Melo. Look who the defensive one is now!!!

Durant is a better scorer than Lebron and that should give him a sizeable consideration when comparing the two players.

Who's your top 5?

And no Bron is still leagues better than anyone in the NBA.....KD is all-time great scorer but he doesn't have Brons all around game and never will.

It will be funny when KD eventually passes LeBron, what you say.

Kind like the Kobe fans were when LeBron passed Kobe.

It will happen eventually.

KD isnt the defender LeBron is, but he's a great rebounder and a very underrated passer. The gap isnt as bad as you think it is.

In no order after Bron and KD

Bron
KD
Love
CP3
Harden

Could go with Anthony Davis / Boogie / Curry for last spot .....I think AD will be top 5 after the year is over. Bottom line is RW isn't in the top 5

I could see Love, but not Harden, he plays ZERO defense.

Teams TORCH him on the defensive end of the floor.

Hes literally the same player he was when he was with the Thunder.

Also, i tend to agree with thethe on Love. He cant make the playoffs one time.

I know he doesnt have the best team around him but make the playoffs once?

Cant have a point guard who is shoot first, ask questions second. A real PG would allow Durant to get more shots and spread the ball to Harden at times. Gives them 2 elite scorers, a point guard that distributes, and some bodies down low. INstead they have a PG that thinks he's a HOFer that takes way too many shots.

Russ was averaging near 8+ assists in his last 8-10 games before he went down.

His passing is so underrated.

You just live with his shots.

If KD passes Lebron, it will be when he's playing with the Wizards next to a real PG.

I don't think he is ever leaving OKC. I don't see why he would go. Not everyone goes to play in their hometown. OKC is a great fit. The community has embraced him and he has to them as well. The team is run perfectly and the young core is all there to win multiple titles. Just need to hope that RW is healthy. They were clearly the best team in the league when he was playing.

Yeah, I'm picked OKC as my team to root for, I would hope and pray KD stayed as well. Let's see if the 2nd best player in the NBA wants to stay playing in the middle of nowhere instead of his hometow (has a Nationals tattoo) where he can print money in endorsements.

Because he'd be the only player to stay and not go to his hometown where he'd leave for less money. If only Paul George left the Pacers and went to the Lakers where he grew up.

OKC can offer around 5 years, 124 million or something around that range.

Wash or anyone else would be 4 years, 80 million or so.

If he left, it would be for a better TEAM/situation.

Because KD will never surpass LeBron when he hits his prime while LeBron leaves his?

What are you talking about dude.....?

1st off, Bron is only 4 years older than KD, so if KD is the better player when Bron is 36 and KD is 32....that doesn't mean KD is the better overall player. You realize that, right?

Prime vs Prime, Bron wins.

I was talking more-so when KD is 28-29, while LeBron is 33.

LeBron reached his peak at that age.
