Imagine if the Thunder would have traded Russ instead of Harden and picked up a solid PG and a big man?

If with Lebron, they would be the favorites.
 
They would be a worse team with Harden instead of RW. You can't just say it now because RW got hurt. The Thunder are as likely to win a title this year as anyone as long as RW is healthy.

KD is a better rebounder than Lebron and like you have made the argument with Melo in the past scoring is still the most important attribute to have as a professional basketball player. KD won't be as good of passer as Lebron but that doesn't take away from the fact that KD is a gifted distributor in his own right. Also, I believe all the metrics this year are showing KD to be a better defender than Lebron.

Cant have a point guard who is shoot first, ask questions second. A real PG would allow Durant to get more shots and spread the ball to Harden at times. Gives them 2 elite scorers, a point guard that distributes, and some bodies down low. INstead they have a PG that thinks he's a HOFer that takes way too many shots.
 
Doesn't Kevin Love get some knock for not being able to get a solid Minnesota team to the playoffs? He needs to win a bit more till I put him in my top 5.

I like Boogie. Davis needs more time.

RW is better than Harden. I can't even believe its a debate. Harden plays ZERO defense.

Its so funny we are still having these conversations. The Thunder had a historic regular season last year and then when RW got hurt they could barely beat the Rockets and got smacked down by the Griz. There is no debate anymore but you can continue to make one. RW is a great basketball player and KD loves playing with him.
 
A solid Minnesota team? They have a good center to play along side him and what else? An ok SG that cant play defense and sleeps in the crunch time? A PG that can't shoot? There is no one else on that roster with a PER over 13.

You do realize that the Pelicans have the worst defense in the NBA right? Some of that has to fall on Davis with his rotations even though he is a prolific shotblocker. He needs more time to prove he is in this class.

Can they make the 8th seed? I'm not asking them to win the conference. Someone pointed it out on twitter and I forgot who.

16 of 30 teams make the playoffs in the NBA and about 10 other teams are tanking. It doesn't reflect well on Love that he can't bring his team to the playoffs. He is still in the top 10 range but not enough for me to put in top 5.
 
LOL at Minny being solid hahahahahahha....just because YOU THINK they are a top team doesn't make them one. They have 3 good players and a PG who can't shoot.

Last year Harden held opponets to a 13.7 clip and had a total rating of + 10.4

RW held opponets to a 15.5 clip and a total rating of + 9.6

So if Harden plays ZERO D, then what did RW play last year?

Still not a spectacular defense. I love watching Davis play and I think he can get there but he isn't top 5 yet. It was too bad RW got hurt because he was playing the best ball of his life. Almost Getting triple doubles on a nightly basis.

Again, we went over this. Houston hides Harden in their defensive scheme while PG's are one of the most stacked positions in the sport and RW has to guard them nightly. You just don't understand how to take stats in context. A big weakness of yours. Stats are part of a story and not the whole story.
 
So again Brule, you used to use the arguments that Melo is so great because he scores. So, if KD is a much better scorer than Lebron doesn't that make it closer?
