Welker also has a different skill set. Boldin is a primary target Welker was traditionally a secondary. Different weapons for sure, and yeah Boldin played for worse QBs, but that isn't the only difference.

Its the only thing that even makes the numbers somewhat comparable. You put Boldin with Manning/Brady and his numbers would look sick.

Steelers use transition tag on Worlids.

For Falcons fans, Veldheer/Albert/Monroe will hit the market.

Unless they sign before FA.

Any of the three would be a massive upgrade on LT situation. Veldheer is a monster but I really worry about his body breaking down.

I think Veldheer is the youngest of the bunch?

Monroe is only 26.

Albert is close 28-29.

Veldheer im not sure but i always liked him when Den played Oak, underrated player.

In 2012 Wes Welker had 200 targets including playoff games. In 2013 Welker had 135 targets including playoffs, but also missed a handful of games.

In 2012 Anquan Boldin had 148 targets including playoff games. In 2013 Boldin had 156 targets including playoffs.

So in these past two seasons Welker had a total of 335 targets while Boldin had 304. Not sure what you are trying to get at here?

Harbaugh backtracking now because he is getting blasted. I call BS. Its clear to me that he wants more power.

However, if he can deal with being one of hte highest paid coaches in the league (how horrible for him) I'd love for him to be our coach for the next 10 years.

So, what's your take on Kaep wanting $18Mil/year???

I'd do it. I think its a risk because he isn't a 18M QB now but if he gets even marginally better then he will be. Couple that with the massive increase in the cap projected in the next three years then I think its a no-brainer.

Kaep has his faults but what I don't think people understand that if he was a little better at reading defenses then he would arguably be a top 5 QB considering how dynamic he is outside the pocket.

18-20M is the going rate for QBs period. If Freaking Jay Cutler signs for 18M pretty much anyone can get that much who isn't total trash. Niners better sign Kaepernick soon, Bradford could potentially be a market buster.

Sam Bradford?

Yes, not in the high end, but if he signs for 18M that means that is the new going rate for below average QBs. You can bet that Kaepernick reconsiders signing for 18M, then when Eli-Rivers-Roethlisberger hit FA not too long f4rom now they'll push the ground well over 20M. Not too long we'll see 30M QBs if we see bad QBs getting paid.

I agree with this and that is why I think its important for the 49ers to get this deal done with Kaep. 18M will look like a steal in two years.

Cowboys restructure a bunch of contracts, still 1 mil over the cap.

Imagine they release Austin as a post June-1 cut.

Did Denver miss their best shot at a title? Decker is likely to leave, Woodyard and the other LB are testing FA and Baily is likely done with them too. Knowshon going to test FA as well....

Having Miller there for the full year would be big, but I feel like they might have missed their best shot for a ring.
