Race

But these facts didn’t debunk anything. It just assumed a different cause without any providing any additional reason why.

I think growing up with a father is the greatest correlator of success a child can have. The data supports this.

Black kids have seen an explosion in fatherless childhoods over last 40 years

Leftists are actively discouraging the nuclear family as a construct of white supremacy

Trying to 'find' a reason is just excusing what is happening.

Its just a bit coincidental that we haven't 'found' it yet and therefore addressed it.

My argument is that we have found the reason, and are just willfully ignoring it because it would cost additional money to resolve.

No, but a system that inadequately resolves decades—and centuries—old oppression is. The statistics ultimately stem from that rather than racial differences.

It's been basically two generations of voters since the Civil Rights era. For black Americans, essentially one of those generations grew up without fathers. That data point can be more easily linked to poverty, crime, and imprisonment than race can.

I'm just wondering if you could explain to me how racism is the issue without mentioning economic means and poor decisions.

Oooh walk us through what needs to happen and what problem is will solve

To start, I’d stop the practice of property taxes directly funding local schools and instead create a system where K-12 public education is funded equally across the board by each state or even the federal government. Fixing the education system would do more to create opportunity than anything else we can do, in my opinion.

You want to nationalize education in order to tackle racism?

To tackle education inequality, sure. This would help many students of all races, but would be a step toward combatting racism since there’s still a natural segregation in many cities due to previous explicitly racist policies.

Friendly reminder of every time you see Andy Ngo shared here to roll your eyes, thread that tears him apart.

I’m not necessarily against school of choice, but what are the guardrails in place if the poorer parents cannot afford to compete with the richer ones? If those answers are sufficiently answered, I can get on board with it. My biggest worry when it comes to these questions is what happens at the bottom of the barrel, so to speak. If there was a system in place to ensure the schools were all funded to such an extent that no students were subject to the current system’s failings, then I’d be in. I don’t care if a solution is public or private if it’s fully equitable.

All the education inequalities and lack of funding happen in poor white school districts and schools too. It has nothing to do with race.

The problem isnt funding. Have you ever heard a government agency say its funded just fine? School is so expensive because its primary function is being a daycare. We could really just end high schools all together and not lose much the only problem is then the streets would be full of teenagers and they get into trouble. They need to tear the whole thing down and start over from scratch. Start kids in school/daycare earlier. It can start as a daycare but transition into education. The early years are where you can really set a child up for success. We need to seperate the girls and boys in school. They learn differently. They should use games to teach kids. I feel like its a fact that kids that grow up playing video games are smarter. Even games that arent specifically education related it can be educational just based on learning problem solving and critical thinking. I think we could finish with grade school around age 15-16. Some kids could go to a community college for 2 years and the best could go straight to a college. College also needs to be streamlined.

Something something Tamir Rice

You’re a sick individual

Tamil rice was a 12 year old with a toy

And even if it was a gun, it’s an open carry state

If you watch the video of that cop arriving and firing within seconds of getting there and still support all of that happened

I mean, you’re just a lost human that has no real code to live by.

You don't understand the point of why I said that. That typical.

The idea that black people get shot while white people walk "look at what happened to Tamir Rice" is what is bandied about by idiots like yourself.

Its a lie like all your other poison.
