Official 2022 Offseason Moves Thread

LA would have to outbid us by several million just for him to leave. Add in 13 million in tax differences and it’d be over 25 million. I wouldn’t do that if I were another team. But the Dodgers have unlimited money

Seems if you spend so much more money than the competition, it would lessen the enjoyment of winning. To the dodgers credit though, they have a crap load of home grown talent

Losing Seager hurt them so FF would ease that pain and cost less

Just speculating…

What happen if Freeman don’t want Ozuna and AA don’t have enough money to sign Soler. Maybe that’s why he is trying to get Cruz and trade Ozuna.

Braves are in the running for Nelson Cruz, too, per Heyman

Cruz over Soler? No thanks. Cruz is bound to suck sooner rather than later, and we might’ve seen the start of that with his second half in Tampa. Plus, Soler can actually fake it in the field.

And that’s not even taking into account that Soler is a Braves folk hero who has equity in the clubhouse.

Well for what it's worth, Ozuna and his wife appear to have got back together following everything that went down, based on Instagram.

The big difference is that Soler is a multi year deal while Cruz is one and done.
