Official 2022 Offseason Moves Thread

I know I’m in the minority but I love the Rosario deal. I think he’s a much better player than Joc

I think they're similar players, all things considered, so I'd rather take the guy who costs less, over the shorter term. Both have plenty of swag. Projections systems are also slightly higher on Pederson's prospects for 2022, and he's a year younger.

My favorite Rockies move was not trading Jon Gray at the trade deadline because they wanted to keep him long term, not extending him a qualifying offer because they wanted to keep him long term and then watching him sign with the Rangers.

Dodgers current lineup:

1)Henderson
2)Gehrig
3)Aaron
4)Ruth
5)Schmidt
6)Bonds
7)Ripken
8)Alomar
9)Irod

Rosenthal: Free-agent first baseman Freddie Freeman in serious talks with the Dodgers, sources tell @TheAthletic. Deal expected to be in six-year, $160 million range. First with talks progressing: @jonmorosi.

Only $26M per year lol

If Freeman really wanted to stay as much as he swore by it the last few years, then he should fire his agent tonight.

Would seem to be more evidence that they overplayed their hand and are now having to settle. Disappointing that the Braves couldn’t wait, but I think they did the right thing.
