GDT #3 April 2, 2014 Braves @ Brewers

For one game at least the front office looks like geniuses for the switch from Garcia to Harang. And a plus note is that Fredi Gonzalez is now the answer to the trivia question "who was the first manager to ever win a replay challenge in baseball" Also any one that questions Kimbrel's pitching should be banned for at least a month, or until he gives up a run!

No way we win today with Garcia on the mound. It was a good move by Wren, regardless of how well Harang does.

I don't know if it's genius, but I trust the guys who do the scouting and analysis. If they think Harang looked better than Garcia this spring, I'll trust their judgment. Neither guy has been that great over the past few years, but Harang by most accounts has more giddy-up on his fastball and if he can be the bridge until the rest of the staff is healthy/ready, he'll have done his job.

Atlanta Braves ‏@Braves 2m
The Braves have claimed RHP Pedro Beato off waivers from Cincinnati. He will join the club in Washington and will wear #51.

Probably sending down Buchter.

Or Walden hurt himself warming up.

Don't be mad man. I got this GDT thing on lockdown.

Good win. Anytime you can take a series on the road, be it April or August, you gotta feel good. On to Washington to send a message. If we can get in their heads this weekend it might just snowball them again.

Especially against the Brewers.

Imagine how you'd feel if you were a Brewers fan, only managing 2 hits and 0 runs off of Harang lol.

Again... when healthy he's a very good pitcher...

Garza's a talented guy, but my perception of his presence in the Twins' clubhouse is similar to how the Braves felt about Yunel Escobar. There weren't a lot of tears shed when they shipped him to Tampa Bay. That was a bad deal by the Twins, but they wanted him gone.

I can't wait to watch this game. Looks like both pitchers had no-hitters into the 7th.

It's always nice to Harang one on the Brewers. Now off to Washington for a Beato-down of the Nats!
