OT Immaculate Grid

4 spots with < 1% today:

Bartolo Colon NYM/LAA at .9%

Armando Benitez NYM/FLA @ .4%

Adam Kennedy LAA/WASH @ .2%

Mat Latos LAA/FLA @ .8%

Tried to come up with a 20 game winner other than the obvious ones, but couldn't think of anyone. Only Cubbies I could think of that might have been low scores were Zambrano and Lester, and I wasn't sure either one won 20 games. Totally spaced on Arrieta. Obviously went with Maddux.

Same for Mets and Angels. I already used Colon for the Mets/Angels tile. Wasn't sure whether Lackey, Escobar, Santana, Haren, etc won 20, so I went safe with Nolan Ryan. On the Mets I figured everyone would go Santana or Seaver, so I went with Gooden and he was 24%. Spaced on Dickey winning 20 games too.

Yeah my numbers weren't small today. My smallest was MEts/Nats with CLippard.

Mets I gambled, I thought Pedro did it that one year he was healthy with the Mets, apparently he didn't. Wild to me that Starling Marte is number 1, not Jose Reyes for Mets/Marlins. I meant to put Al Leiter there, but went with Reyes because I was playing for speed today.

In my playing for lowest guesses one (I often go for that after attempting a most right/speed round)

Some of my all time lows showed up there. Still struggled with 20 wins as my only single digit was David Cone (I think everyone forgets his pre-Yankee career)

Bruce CHen at 0.03% for Mets/Nats. Big Cat at 0.04% Nats Angels (slight gamble, couldn't remember if he played for the Angels or not)

I really wanted to use Orlando Cabrera for Wash-LAA but I don't know if Montreal's lineage counts with Washington. He played with the Expos then they relocated to DC and he didn't play for the Nats.

I took a risk and used Michael Barrett in the Wash-Cubs box even though he played for Montreal and not Wash.

I should have used Orlando Cabrera but I wasn't sure if it would do it by franchise. So I went with Rendon.

I couldn't for the life of me think of a Marlins-Angels player.

I almost put Chuck Finley in for Angel's 20 game winner but I can't remember if he won 20 for Cleveland or Anaheim or if he even won 20 at all. I almost put Don Sutton too lol.

I almost put Ron Darling for the Mets. Lol

It does. It let me use Andre Dawson for Cubs/Nats today

I wasn't sure at first. But now that I know that. I will use it for future reference.

Michael Barrett was my last pick after I gave up on Marlins-LAA.

Figured why not try it. Rendon was just the safe pick. But definitely should have used Cabrera.

I almost used Mike Mordecai and Mark Grudzielanek because it feels like one of them played for a combo of these teams as journeymen.

I just realized, there's probably some BS Cubs 20 win player. Like Mordecai Brown or something that would show up super low. I'm gonna try that right now to see how low it is. Liek the old old teams have guys from back when pitchers would throw 50-70 games. Think 1800s and early 1900s.

Chuck Finley did not :( Would have gone with Doc Gooden for the Mets.

Any fellow Charlie Root enjoyers?

Our old friend Jo-Jo Reyes is at .07% for the Angels/Marlins tile.

Didn't know played after that season after we traded him which I believe was to toronto. He must have been a reliever for LAA and Miami.

I remember Bill pimping Jo-Jo so hard. He wound up not even being as good as my meme man Chuck James.

Missed the Detroit ROY. I'm really bad on ROY winners in general. Almost went with Lou Whitaker (which was correct). Instead I went with Curtis Granderson because I remember him being crazy good at the start of his career. For some reason.

Lowest was Canseco at 1% and Hellickson at 4%

5 1% of lowers, none over 10%. this is the first one that was in my wheel house ina long time.

Matt Stairs for Det/Tor (slight gamble) 0.7%, Gregg Jefferies Phillies/Tigers (was one of my uncles favorite players before he started sucking with the Phillies) 0.2%, Epic WInske for Tor/TB 1%, Tomas Perez for PHI/TB 0.03%, and David Justice ROY 40 HR at 0.07%.

I filled it out at midnightish. So I wanted to wait until now to see the stats. I legit was gambling on Fidrych and HEllickson as ROY.

Kevin Stocker is 2% for Phillies/TB, I call BS there. Doyle Alexander 1% Tigers/Jays, McGriff is only 6% for Rays/Jays, George Bell 2% for Jays 40 homers, and Mike Piazza 0.6% for 40HR/ROY

OK, I checked back and Stocker fell to 1%... but still. Piazza down to 0.5%.
