Yeah, none of their pitchers has been really dominant this year. Kershaw's ERA is 2.52 but his xFIP is 3.40. Still very good but he's definitely been lucky.

They don't have anyone this year that seems to be on the level of Strider or Fried.

Or Shuster.

Gonsolin was liklely going to be their No.3/4 starter going into the playoffs, depending on how Lance Lynn continued to pitch (low ERA, but FIP is 2.5 runs higher). So that's a pretty big loss for the Dodgers.

I mean their rotation is looking like Kershaw/Urias/Miller/Lynn at this point, right?

Yup. Miller has the pedigree and is a live, young arm. Kershaw is as solid as they come, even if he isn't the dominant force he used to be. But after that, their rotation is pretty mediocre.

Agreed. Contrast that with the Braves where Strider is clearly the best pitcher in the NL. And it's probablly a toss-up between Wheeler or Fried who is the #2 guy in the league. The Dodgers team doesn't scare me despite what their team pedigree has been the last decade plus.

So Charlie pitches tonight. I assume Vines starts on Wed and we go Strider, Fried, Elder, and Morton in LA?

I was hoping to see Strider tomorrow, but alas they insist on a 6-man rotation when they only have 4 legit starters, lol. I suppose that's a luxury you can make when 13 games up.

We gone need to score 15 runs tomorrow…. No way we use any good bullpen arms with LA looming either.
Better get ‘em tonight.

CJ/Deester.. what is this Vines kid's arsenal? If he is a fastball/change, he might be alright.

Good athlete. I've always read he's a "pitchability" guy, which can be a bit of a red flag because it insinuates command over stuff. He's had good numbers at most stops in the minors. I've never seen anything about his velocity.
