GDT 5/26/23: Braves vs Philthies - Ozuna Moves Up

We have a 4:00 and then a 7:00 Sunday game. If Murphy isn't starting these next two, the dude may want to actually request a trade.

GDT 5/26/23: Braves vs Philthies - Ozuna Moves Up

In our past 5 series: Murphy played Friday and Saturday vs. Toronto and sat Sunday He played Monday and Tuesday vs. Texas and sat Wednesday We had an off day Thursday but he still only played Friday and Saturday vs. Seattle and sat Sunday He played Monday and Tuesday vs. LA and sat Wednesday...

GDT 5/25 Braves vs. the Reigning NL Champs

Really hoping this is the final time we need to see Dodd this year. Guy is just not MLB ready. Feels like Soroka gets the call next time through

Dodgers game 3: wake up braves!

On a side note - the one other bright side this year is how strong our bench is. Pretty awesome having a bench player like Murphy that can grind out roughly 4 starts every 8 calendar days or so. While he is good enough to DH, given the concern of bench players being exposed with extensive...

GDT: Braves @ Rangers 5/17 Finding our Stride(r)

Are we back to deciding that the best catcher in baseball should play ~50-60% of our games? I hope not but after an off-day he's only now played 2 of 4 games, and that's with another off-day tomorrow. With most managers I'd just view it as Snit viewing as a good chance to take advantage of some...

    GDT 5/15/23: Braves @ Rangers

The homerun stroke clearly seems to be coming back for Acuna which is awesome to see. Feels like coming in bunches now

    5/6 GDT: orioles game 2

Its early but a 6 game lead at any point in the season is no bad thing.

GDT: 4/27 Braves vs Marlins: Get Away Day

Hate to say it but Minter feels like he himself could use a good 10 day DL recovery. Don't love seeing him sitting at 95. Hopefully that's not a permanent decline but he has not looked good at all

GDT: 4/27 Braves vs Marlins: Get Away Day

I worry less about Olson right now - even in a horrendous year last year as far as the ups and downs he dropped 34 bombs, 78 xbase hits, and was 3.4 WAR. I think he should "easily" hit 35 bombs this year, maybe even 40-45 and unfortunately he will also probably strike out 175-200 times and hit...

GDT 4-24: Strider is the STOPPER.

On a side note the Acuna launch angle is lingering on me. Just frustrating knowing he should be doing all of this with a 40 bomb base and for whatever reason, just still hasn't gotten the proper swing back from the injury. Hitting the ball harder than ever, but just can't find the launch.

GDTl 4/15 Braves @ Royals: Late Afternoon Game

I hate to say it but it probably took TD getting hurt for Snit to realize what we have in Murphy. Crazy to think, Murphy would probably be playing every other day still...

    4/12 gdt: Lets win

This will sound crazy given how amazing Acuna has been but any initial advanced reads of note? My only concern is he still seems to be hitting a ton of ground balls (notwithstanding his double to the track today), albeit I think i can offhand already remember like 3-4 ABs alone where he missed...

GDT: 4/11 Braves vs Red: Braves Need to Get Albies Wright

8-4 and it feels like we are nowhere even near hitting our gear. Fried out, Iggy out, Harris out, just got Wright back, been starting 3-rookies, hopefully getting all those guns back soon and Soroka progressing nicely. All-in-all, 8-4 not to shabby a start

GDT 4/9/23: Braves vs Padres - An Easter Treat

I don't love the in game interview but there is a way to make it work. Those questions were shockingly pathetic. Ask some interesting baseball questions, and at least can be a decent listen, that was just brutal. zero prep

    GDT: 04/07 Braves vs Padres

This feels primed for the "try to squeeze an inning out of him despite being garbage" and costs us the game As I'm typing that, lead-off double. Snit will just always be obsessed with the optics of "stealing an inning from a pitcher" and it all to frequently just costs us a game.

    GDT: 04/07 Braves vs Padres

Its all relative, so goes without saying Albies is still a great asset, but totally agreed, his relative lack of improvement since he came up has been disappointing. At some point it would be interesting to just experiment for a month or two on him hitting righty full-time as well

    GDT: 04/07 Braves vs Padres

A two pitch pitcher that throws 90 mph - doesn't really project as a starter or a reliever...I'm so unimpressed in watching him and I know its a short sample size, but its just startlingly unimpressive. Fortunately this will be his last start, imagine Wright comes back and he's pitched himself...
