Braves Trade Heyward, Walden to Cardinals for Miller and Tyrell Jenkins

If it was a simple Heyward for Miller swap, I actually wouldn't mind it that much.... Basically the Braves (and I don't blame them) came to the conclusion that Heyward isn't going to become what they thought. At least not with them. It pretty much went the same with Jeff Francoeur. Goldenboy...

Braves Trade Heyward, Walden to Cardinals for Miller and Tyrell Jenkins

He's definitely had a big impact but that's on Wren. BJ was never a great player to begin with. What Wren was thinking is beyond me. But lets face it, BJ's lack of doing a damn thing has definitely set things on a different course for the Bravos.

Braves Trade Heyward, Walden to Cardinals for Miller and Tyrell Jenkins

LOL, probably Why was John Hart so highly touted by JS anyway? If he was so great, why wasn't he GMing a team already?

Braves Trade Heyward, Walden to Cardinals for Miller and Tyrell Jenkins

It's not that I think he was an All Star or anything but lets face it.... The overwhelmingly majority of the time, he did his job which was get the ball to Kimbrel

Braves Trade Heyward, Walden to Cardinals for Miller and Tyrell Jenkins

I don't get why we would go into rebuild mode anyway? We weren't that far off.... Just had a some underperforming players... Mostly on offense that needed to be shuffled. Otherwise, pitching was pretty good. I hope John Schuerholz didn't sign off on this

Braves Trade Heyward, Walden to Cardinals for Miller and Tyrell Jenkins

I'm confused... Maybe we are in rebuild mode..... I'm more upset about Walden being traded than Heyward..... Great setup men are not that easy to find.... Walden was awesome Heyward.... could go either way.... I guess they look at it like Jeff Francouer and think that if Heyward is to become...

    Clayton Kershaw voted MVP

This is ridiculous. He pitched in 27 games. A guy who played in about 16% of his team's games is the MVP? Really? Cy Young No doubt 100%. MVP? No

    Wren "dismissed" --

There's no doubt Fredi's gone.... They're just waiting till the end of the season. Wren can make organizational moves and what not.... Which is why its more the better to get rid of him now. Fredi can only control the major league team in wins and losses. meaning since we're out of contention...

Bowman: Braves With Decisions To Make After Disappointing '14

I actually meant to put "We don't NEED a Larry Bowa type"... lol. Meaning we don't need a complete 180 of what we're used to. But we definitely need someone these players are going to respect. I don't think they do on Fredi.

Bowman: Braves With Decisions To Make After Disappointing '14

I've always respected Simpson for the most part but uh no..... Fredi's team underperformed... Not what we were used to during the Cox era. This team right now is on pace to finish below .500.. Look at the talent we have.... We should have easily won 90+ games He's got to go... And some...

    Good season everyone

Never in my life have I seen this much talent on Braves team wasted.... Just a shame... Fredi better be out... Wren? IDK.... Lets face it, he's no John Schuerholz and never was going to be. I never realized how spoiled we might have been from the Cox/Schuerholz combination until we lost it...

    This team is HORRIBLE!

You judge based on where we stand in position for playoffs? It's the same when an 8-8 team in the NFL makes the playoffs. They got in because the league in that particular year was just that bad. Yea, we're in position for playoffs but that's because the team pool of MLB this year just isn't...

Gonna get this out in the open; where does BJ rank on your most hated Braves list?

I actually don't hate him that much... Why? Because he was never that good to begin with Wren was stupid giving a player star type money who had never even made an All Star team, never hit 30 homers, never drove in more than 82 runs, Had averaged like .240 avg, .310 OBP, and like 160 K's for...

    1993 Comeback Against the Reds

I've got this game on tape.... This was one of those years where we let a lesser team knock us out in the playoffs. We were loaded Good times. Javy Lopez threw out Reggie Sanders trying to steal early in the game. This was a transition period from Bream, Pendleton, Gant, Olsen to McGriff...

    This team is HORRIBLE!

This team isn't horrible and this team isn't good. It's a mediocre team... And it performs like one. It's has good streaks here bad streaks there, good one week, bad another week.... It's just consistently inconsistent. Reason I'm so hard on Fredi is because the REASON we're mediocre is due...

    Fredi Gonzalez Rant Thread.

K, I haven't posted here in a long ass time.. But just wanted to say that Fredi Gonzalez f*ckin sucks.... Probly everything has already been said but just wanted to vent on the mfer..... I tell ya what. I think I was one of the ones that underestimated the value of Cox's ability to get the most...

    Brian McCann

They didn't want to tie themselves up with another Uggla or BJ contract so were much less aggressive in signing McCann so yes, you better believe that BJ contact played a part... No directly obviously but indirectly.

    Brian McCann

I personally have a differing definition of stars and superstars... For instance, my favorite player tino martinez was a "star" but wasn't a superstar... BJ wasn't given superstar type money but definitely star type... More appropriate for someone who's at least made an all star team or two have...

    Brian McCann

Uh, no... We can't look back because it was on scout.com.... But I thought the contract was a joke AT THE TIME of the signing.... He never was that great a player. He's never even been to one all star game for pete's sake.... And yet he was given star type money... He was a solid player at best
