At this point I don't ever see Thomas as an option for the rotation. Hale is in the pen because he is a good pitcher and at the time he was our best option to go to the pen vs calling somene up. If Simmons and June pitch well out of the pen they will stay and the LOOGY wren gets will replace Hale.

Persoally this is who I would go after James Russell and Emilio Bonifacio from the cubs. I also would talk to them about Hammel. I.Don't think the braves should go after a big time SP. A quality 3rd would be ok.

I would extend him but only if it was for small money. Buy out all his arby years and have options for 1 or 2 free agent years. No need to go crazy giving him a longer deal.

If the braves could flip santana/floyd with either Jeff S. Or a top of the rotation guy they should do it. The current rotation is not enough for the playoffs.

Fredi is not going to remove Hewyard from leadoff. And I have my doubts about BJ getting moved from the 2 hole.

No one is going to take 5-10 mill of uggla. He cant be fixed The trade market is going to be full of starters way better then Harang or Floyd. And some will not cost a lot in terms of prospects.

Whats a decent prospect though? I would rather keep Hale and Northcraft. Martin isn't enough IMO. I don't see anyone taking on anything more then a million bucks for Uggla. He is lost and can't be found.

I really don't understand trying to "pay" a team to take uggla. I would just rather pay him to leave and use what prospects we would send with him to improve the pen and maybe the bench.

The yanks farm is actually not that bad. They have some decent talent.

I fully expect a small trade for a loogy before the season starts.
