Because you aren't making sense, you're talking about guys that cheated getting in over a guy that to my knowledge never even had his name whispered about using steroids. Your argument is for juicers to get in over McGriff that's what I'm not understanding.

Sooooo we're not talking about the real world? Dude you make it up as you go huh? If you think McGwire and Sosa deserve to get in over McGriff just on stats I agree, but their stats are permantly flawed due to steroid use. So they don't get in or deserve to get in over him.

McGwire, Bonds, and Sosa will likely not get in (PED users). I'm not even sure Bags or Sheff get in either. Manny last time I checked was still playing for Cubs minor league and coaching. If not he retired this year.

What players from that era aren't in that have better stats than McGriff?

    The Crime Dog

Thomas and Murray are already in. If McGriff hit 7 more home runs, he would already be in too. Look at his post season stats too he outhit all the ones you named in the playoffs. Plus Todd Helton shouldn't get it, he didn't even hit 400 homers at Coors Field.

Like who? Bagwell? What first baseman were more solid than him during this time that wasn't on roids? And there are people who believe Bagwell was on roids. We know about McGwire and Palmeiro. McGriff was a clean player that performed well during the steroid era.

    The Crime Dog

Braves broadcast just showed the highlights when the pressbox caught on fire the day they acquired McGriff. This got me thinking why isn't this guy in the HOF. He was a premier slugger in his era and with the strike shortened season he would've easily topped 500 home runs. Look at his stats and...

Braves sign free-agent LHP Ross Detwiler

They are picking up guys with upside that could help our crappy bullpen and have trade potential, I like what the braves are doing this year.

http://m.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/smoltz-mets-pitchers-better-1990s-era-braves-article-1.2295024 Interesting comments by the former Braves pitcher. What do you guys think about his comments?

I like the idea of signing Price and Upton. I don't see either happening, but I would love it.

McCann is not below average, for sure. His offensive numbers are still solid and he never was a great defensive catcher. Throwing out runners is included in defense by the way. He's still a top 5 catcher. Does playing in Yankee stadium help that? Of course it does.

    Home Run Derby

I don't know about yall but I really enjoyed the new format. It brought a lot more excitement to the event in my opinion. What did you guys think about the format and Todd Frazier's performance?

Not at this point in their careers. I hope you mean when they are mid 30s and declining.

Heyward is not worth whatever someone is going to pay him. I assure you, I would rather have Justin Upton back than Jason. Jason will never reach the hype people thought he would.
