You've been hired as GM

I must have missed where AJ is non crapp defender. Also His avg/obp/slg line right now is almost identical to his last year in Atlanta. But yeah there is no way he could hit that well away from Yankee stadium.

I must have missed where Mac was an all world defender

And for the record I never said AJ was better than Mac... I said besides the offense there's not a whole lot of difference. If you want an aging catcher that has shown substantial evidence of having trouble hitting away from a top 3 hitters ball park, you have fun with that. If we are going to make a play for a big time catcher... Please go for someone other than Mac.

AJ does all the other things just as well if not better than Mac...

full of dumb.

All other things... Meaning besides offense... Again nothing in my message has changed

Except for the fact that Mac is a solid defensive catcher and AJ is one of the worst defensive catchers in baseball, sure they are totally similar besides the offense. The only thing they have in common is they aren't great at throwing out runners.

Maybe speed too. Maybe they are both slow. Hmmmmm, just alike.

AJ is not one of the worst in the game and McCann is below average.

McCann is not below average, for sure. His offensive numbers are still solid and he never was a great defensive catcher. Throwing out runners is included in defense by the way. He's still a top 5 catcher. Does playing in Yankee stadium help that? Of course it does.
