Let’s just extrapolate that logic and say that anyone the Braves sign is a red flag because they weren’t signed by a bigger market team first. Best to stay away from signing any players.

I would be so very stoked if AA signed Imai. I’d feel incredible about this season. Not going to get graphic like UNCblue, but yeah.

Yeah I’d love to see actual data on what these guys generate. I’m far from convinced a guy like Imai would generate anything significant, especially before throwing a pitch. But I’d love to see data if there is any.

Valdez is a consistent 4 WAR starter. I didn’t realize until this offseason just how good he has been the last four years. That said, he’s 32 and a possible prick. I have no idea what $$ I’d be comfortable with while giving up a pick, honestly. He’s a tricky one.

Yeah it makes no sense to me to give up guys like that when you can just sign Bassitt or Imai. I know those guys not having picks means more $$$ but that’s preferable to giving up a guy like Caminiti.

Even just for the year if Jimenez, it was a solid trade. Would be nice to make a similar one for a BP piece.

Also have to remember that there’s a competent hitter at short for the first time in a couple years. Going from Allen to Kim is quite a jump. That plus proper use of Yaz and Dubón should cut down on the impact of losing Ozuna.

Yeah Peralta isnt good enough to give up even just Waldrep for.

Because the money a FA gets becomes prohibitive.
