It really sounds as if Freeman is your brand new #2 hitter for as long as we have a DH (which might be permanent, tbh). Yeah, we got there due to injuries, but Freeman apparently asked Snitker to put him there. So, if the DH sticks, he might now be staying in #2.

Newk needs to just be totally revamped. There's a compelling argument that he's tipping his pitches and he can't keep a consistent release point. Not a starting or relief option right now, but he might honestly get another life in 2021 if there is some progress.

He was right because AA fired all of the talent evaluators recently that were in the system up to his first year with the Braves and I believe some of our developmental coaching too. That should tell you something. He didn't get a shot with our newer coaches because he was out of options...
