116th Congress

“Because in our overall discourse, nonviolent protest somehow gets deemed

as not ‘civil,’ yet stripping women’s rights or incarcerating children on the border

doesn’t receive the same characterization. What’s up with that?”

Dick Cheney

This from a conversation AOC was having with Aaron Sorkin over the term "gravitas " I admit the first time I heard the term in a political context was Bush43's reasoning for picking

.@AOC just stated on stage at #MLKNow that "being a billionaire is not an aspirational or good thing" and that "being a billionaire is not moral".

I'd love to know at what dollar figure you have where you are no longer moral

Capitalism had a good ride but I guess we go the route of communism now

you need a girl friend to help clear your mind.
Watching my wife in her shoe closet, I ask the same question

Capitalism is doing fine.
A correction or two are in store . Dont fear, nothing more.

Any way, how does this effect you ?
Had you read Gatsby like I told you you would have parable explaining how, you will never be one of them.
Why do you defend those that take from you ?

Dont understand that

When you start applying the moral character of a person based on their money, we will have a problem.

But you will get it bc liberty and the principles this country was founded on are jokes to you and your ilk

I think hoarding is a disorder.

Be it money , or books or cloths or shoes or cars or ...

Nothing to do with morality

Who determines who gets what in your system? How does the share gets calculated? How do you motivate someone to study for a decade to so something where their delta in total compensation with a fast food clerk is not worth it?

You posted a tweet celebrating a government official saying having a certain amount of money is immoral. You brought morality to the conversation

You keep saying horder. Do you not understand what happens with money that sits in a bank account? Do you think this money sits in a mattress or do you understand that its lent to people to buy homes and start businesses?

I remember posting that tweet from Elon Musk. Funny you never commented on that...

no, I said that is where the national conversation is heading

and accumulated on cheap bordering on slave labor, tax breaks that effect local infrastructure and sweet heart land deals made the amongst thems thats gots.
Yeah, I understand well

Elon Musk is Gatsby.
talk to me about Elon Musk in 30 years

Lots of ink spilled trying to figure out why

Bernie and AOC are so popular but maybe people

just like being told they shouldn't have to literally die

so that a billionaire can buy another yacht?

New rule:

Anyone who opposes investments for a Green New Deal has to tell us

how they will pay for the damage from intense hurricanes, floods, droughts,

wildfires, rapid sea level rise and ecological devastation.

It’s important to remember that the potential monetary and societal costs of massive ecological ruin are nothing compared to the true existential threats to America, which are, uh, which bathrooms people use, pronouns, sensitive college kids, refugees and asylum seekers, and taxing the wealthy.

"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) made a factual error Thursday when explaining a factual error she made while defending herself from a Washington Post fact-check that found she made several factual errors."

The congresswoman has accomplished two things in recent weeks: She’s managed to penetrate the media cycle generally dominated by President Trump with policy ideas and shifted the Overton Window — a term for the range of ideas that are at any given time considered worthy of public discussion — to the left on issues from tax rates to climate change policy

agree or disagree, this has happened

Next thing you know she'll be running for president.

Goodness.

It's sad when the person here who hates and complains about AOC the most is basically the only one posting about her here.
