Its as if people want to ignore centuries of hatred when Muslims speak about Israel. There is no distinction in their minds. To defend this worthless piece of **** is a defense of eradication of Jews because that is their end game.

I get what you're saying and I find anti-Semitism deplorable, but historically European Christians were often out to do as much damage to the Jewish population as the Muslims. And it swings both ways. Tribal skirmishes between Jews and non-Jews have been going on in the Middle East pretty much since the political establishment of the nation of Israel (virtual or otherwise). As I said earlier, what is going on with the settlements and confiscation of Palestinian land/property by Israel is rightfully being criticized.

I think that if you uncritically accept every assertion in this thread, you might come to that conclusion. Only skimming it, I found several misrepresentations. One which is pretty notable is dinging her for issuing a statement of support of Marc Lamont Hill, saying that his “from the river to the sea” line was “Hamas’s slogan.” Well, yeah, they use it. As does every free Palestine movement since 1964, predating Hamas. He lost his job at CNN over this, and nearly lost his teaching job. Missed that in the PC thread, though.

But, yeah, I’m leery of Tlaib, based on a couple of these things, though I don’t really know much about her beyond the bio. But I guess we should hold her to the standard that you’ve always supported, which boils down to “you can’t be acccused of X-ism unless you outright state that you’re an X-ist.”

of course i don't accept bigotry...but i think it is better to refrain from tarring an entire religion with such a broad brush
 
btw i see Louisville is naming their airport after Muhammad Ali, a great Muslim American...he wasn't perfect by any means, but I think it is a good choice

its kind of shocking and i think it would be remiss of me not to point it out to see the word "scum" used to describe an entire religious community...well it is not shocking coming from you

The 'scum' comment was clearly directed at this individual. The Islam comment was more of a borad brush supported by facts.
 
For the record, I do find it troubling Graham went from calling Trump an imbecile since he started running to basically bending over backwards on everything for him in the last 12 months.

Not saying it's blackmail, but his behavior sure has been a bit strange. His bff McCain would not approve. And it wouldn't surprise me if Graham was gay (nothing wrong with it if he is).
