2016 Presidential Primaries [ SUPER TUESDAY | 3-1-'16]

I just find it highly ironic that the one guy who was actually succcesful in blowing up the system is the one guy that is hated for doing it.

No, I said: "A few years out of college?"

Do you know he didn't denounce the birther stuff? Have you read all of his editorials? I haven't. I don't know. I don't assume he did or didn't.

I frankly don't know and I frankly don't care. My point is that Douthat was in a position of media prominence to denounce it and it would have had weight. Given that timeline, I thought your attack on 57 was off base. Attack 57 all you want (which many do but he seems to take it), but he had a point here.

As it turns out, Douthat did denounce birthers, but that wasn't my point. Link from 2010: http://douthat.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/06/29/birthers-polls-and-public-ignorance/?_r=0

Need a reference point. Is the "one guy" Trump or someone else? It would be highly unlikely I'd ever vote for Trump, but there's no denying that he has struck a nerve in this country.

This isn't about Trump per se, but it's a great piece from The Economist. Link: http://www.economist.com/news/books...luential-political-science-book-recent-memory

So latest batch of polls today. Hillary still holds a commanding lead in the South. But Bernie has closed the gap in Missouri, Ohio, and Illinois.

Hillary needs to reverse that trend. She's still the likely winner as her home state and the homestate of Wall Street hasn't come into play yet.

I do agree to a certain extent that Trump's support (and maybe some of Sanders' too) is not voting FOR Trump but rather against the system.

To illustrate this, Sanders has gone as far as praising other socialist countries in where the economic ruin was quite apparent... This quote for example:

LINK: Bernie Sanders Supported Press Crackdowns, Bread Lines, and Castro's Cult of Personality

I always find it interesting when bringing up some of Bernie's comments, I get 1 of 3 responses:

1. It's his vision! The specifics don't matter

2. He misspoke... didn't mean how it came out

3. No response - just pretend it never happened

Big day today. The Republicans could be down to two disasters after today, or if Kasich wins Ohio, the empire might find someone to put their money behind to keep in the race. Will the polls in Florida hold and send Little Marco packing?

Does Hillary blow it open, or does Bernie pick off wins in Missouri, Illinois and Ohio?

Let's not forget we are going into Ohio with a history of election chicanery favoring the (R) du jour

Will be surprised if Kasich loses

polls have him up by three. Guessing that is ~ the margin of error ? ~

Feel like we can't go without this gem from Sarah Palin on the protesters: "Punk-ass little thuggery."

Not a huge fan of the Palins, but I certainly hope Todd recovers from his accident. Scary crap.

As for the polls, I think we have to remember that they are largely conducted on land lines and so few young people who are likely Sanders' supporters have land lines. I think that is troublesome for Clinton.

Question
Knowing for a couple of election cycles the land line vs cell problem,
why hasn't the political class figured a way around this?

Or, have they ??
Trump?
