When Lindsay Graham was in the House, I thought that he may someday grow into a serious presidential candidate, but then something happened. I don't know what.

Wasn't Graham supposed to be part of like the slightly more moderate republican, kind of like Lieberman was.

Only on immigration with his buddy McCain. He's far right to the rest of it. Interesting he's running primarily on foreign policy. I met him a few months ago and was surprised at his sense of humor. Pretty cool guy to talk to. He's always come across on TV as devoid of any personality.
According to the latest Quinnipiac poll, Paul and Rubio are within 4 points of HRC, while the rest of the likely Rep field is 7-12 points behind.
At what point do I get to lecture to Reps that they better cast aside their principles and vote for Rand because he has the best chance to beat HRC? You know, like they told me in 08 and 12 with McCain and Romney?
I also love how HRC is leading everyone, yet in that same poll, responders answered 53-39 that she is not honest or trustworthy. Some country.
" ...build a coalition based on policies ..."
But hasn't that been their problem? They have had no policies -- only a "vote for us because we are not them" stance
Actually the last policy proposal they brought forward was Paul Ryan's in what, 2010 ?
Nothing on health care, jobs , immigration, economy, environment or even a viable foreign policy.
Which is where Rand Paul comes in. Agree with him or not he does have ideas. Ideas according to 21st century (R) are only for suckers. Therefore Paul will never see his way out of primary season
I think
I think the rest of the field (Democrats included) simply think that not facing up to fiscal challenges is the way to go. The rest of the field seems to want to convince the vast middle class you can keep getting everything but not paying for it.
