Playing the Waiting Game
Question for Enscheff, or anyone else who wants to chime in.

Probably way more than he's worth.

Mike: What kind of return does Whit Merrifield bring in if the Royals choose to go that route?
Jeff Sullivan: Looking for two talented pitchers close to the majors
I saw some folks mention Merrifield. He has shown well in limited time in the OF. How would he fit if moved to LF and stuck at the top of the lineup in front of Acuna/Freeman?
What you think Michael Brantley will get? He's the one I want the most of realistic targets
Anyone interested in buying low?
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman indicated Friday that trading Sonny Gray this offseason would be best for both parties.
It hasn't worked out for Gray with the Yankees, as he finished with a 4.90 ERA over 30 appearances -- 23 starts -- in pinstripes this season. He's arbitration-eligible for a final time this winter and could make for a good buy-low option for some team. Gray held a 3.55 ERA across 27 starts in 2017

Is there an argument for signing Brantley or Pollock and trading for Merrifield?
Kristen: What kind of deal do you see Pollock getting? My Rangers need a CF and a RH’ed bat next year.
Jeff Sullivan: Who knows what the market is going to look like this winter, but I could see Pollock signing for something like three years and $40 million. Solid all-around player but he’s going into his age-31 season and he had a worse second half
I've been operating under the assumption that Pollock would get something similar to LoCain's 5/80, but Pollock for 3/40 has to be a very appealing option. I would be all for that kind of deal if the Braves also acquired a legit 4th OFer to hedge against Pollock's injury risk.
According to what they want. I'd rather have him than SanchezAnyone interested in buying low?
