I'm fine giving up Riley but i just wonder what else would be going Miami's way.

No Soroka or Touki, would Wright or Anderson be in? Would a Allard/Wilson/Gohara be the 2nd piece? If no Flowers, then maybe Alex Jackson. Certainly seems too good to be true if we can keep Pache, Soroka and Touki, not sure what else.

I'd do Riley and Newcomb before I would include those others, minus Allard who has the least value. No problem moving Alex Jackson either.

Riley/Wright/Jackson would be strong but nothing that really hurts us

Lets say you put Riley in. Who plays 3B next year if Donaldson moves on? Carmago again? ehhh........

Camargo had a great year and if Donaldson is good, we could re-sign him for a couple more years before we have a replacement. And there's always surprising trade players out there.

I'd try to do Newk but i think Miami would want one of our prospect arms and not him. But if we could somehow keep Wright/Touki/Anderson/Soroka outta it that would be ideal but even moving one of them doesnt hurt us too much.

Mish: Sources : Braves appear to be a slight favorite to land Realmuto. Austin Riley is on the table. Lots of moving parts. Mets & Yanks are still in & probably need to outdo ATL to get J.T. Reds have fallen back. TB/SD def in but longshots. Not imminent.

If AA's going to go get Realmuto, he needs to go ahead and pony-up for Peralta or Pederson since J. T.'s more or less a win-now move.

Does he have a taker for Julio and Flowers? That's around $15 million. Realmuto and Peralta will cost around $15 million. Still leaves the $18-$20 million we think he has left to spend to chase a SP.

The rumblings that we're "in" on Keuchel and Joel Sherman's continuous expectation that we're "in" on Kimbrel wouldn't be quite so odd then, and he wouldn't have had to empty the farm with the trades. Say Riley and Wilson in the Realmuto deal (just can't imagine they'll take fungible Pitching even with Riley) and Pache for Peralta? I love the idea of Kimbrel, but hate the money as much as everyone else does, but AA would have held onto Folty, Gausman, Newk, Soroka, Touki, Fried, Gohara, Wright, and Anderson as the rotation pieces for the forseeable future with Viz, O'Day, and Freeman coming off the books in the pen next winter plus Mac and Duvall.

Can't possibly imagine it happening, but fun to look at anyway...

RF- Acuna, 3B- Donaldson, 1B- Freeman, C- Realmuto, LF- Peralta, 2B- Albies, CF- Ender, SS- Dansby
Bench - Mac, Camargo, Duvall, Culberson

Folty, Keuchel, Gausman, Newk, Soroka/Wright/Fried/Gohara/Anderson

Touki, Minter, Viz, Venters, O'Day, Biddle, Winkler, Freeman
Sobotka, Carle, Weigel, Burrows, Clouse

I feel like these Realmuto rumors are just a tease and we won’t acrually end up with him, honestly. If we do, I feel we give up a haul none of us are happy with.

The Fish should want to trade Realmuto in division. By the time they're competitive, Realmuto likely won't be good anymore. That leaves a division foe weaker for having lost the prospects to get Realmuto.

I disagree. I think this is as silly as not wanting to trade within the division. The point should be to get maximum value for the player no matter what. If that comes from the Braves or Mets, fine. If it comes from the Reds or someone in the AL then that should be fine as well.

I agree maximum value is the way to go. I was more pointing out how, if anything, there's more motivation to trade in division than out for the Fish at this point. The hesitancy to trade within the division we've heard about is stupid considering how far away they are from competing.

The 3b market is strong next year so with these 1 year deals they could spend big there next year. I’ve had a feeling all offseason that we get Realmuto.

I just feel like there's too much smoke here. Interesting that Bowman and DOB have been completely silent. Bowman has been so quick to try and shut Mish down

Bowman is still a mouthpiece for the FO... probably just wants to shut it down so it doesn't mess up any deal where we fleece the Marlins.

I do believe Mish seems to be right that we are the favorites for Realmuto but that can change fast if someone tops our offer.

AA has stayed in the fight so I don’t think he will back down and lose out. We can top just about anybody’s offer tha is in talks with them but I’m sure AA has given them his best offer and they are just seeing if somebody can beat it before agreeing.

But do you “want” to beat an offer for two years of a catcher that may only play 110 games a year. I think AA has made an offer and I don’t think he will move on what’s he’s offered. Jeter keeps holding out, but obviously no one has blown them away.
