2018 Offseason And Targets

This Kimbrel talk makes it seem like folks haven’t been paying attention the last 10 years.

That what it is right now. Just talk. Frankly, I like it because it is something to talk about. Outside of November, this offseason was boring. Nobody here is guaranteeing Kimbrel will sign. The chances may not be great, but unlike Harper and Machado, there is at least some possibility that has to be acknowledged.

From this point....what would you guys consider a successful offseason?

IF we sign Kimbrel while adding Donaldson and signing Neck and Bmac for little to nothing...all while keeping the farm completely in tact....that’s not too shabby.

With no other moves it’s pretty lackluster. Safe, not horrible, just “ok”.

When this started (and although I really like Kimbrel), he would have been the last person I would want us to go after. At this point, he may be the only real impact player left that we could actually afford.

Agreed, I feel okay if we sign Kimbrel. If we are done, then this has been a pretty bad offseason.

Donaldson offers us the flexibility of moving Camargo around, while Kimbrel would deepen the pen.

Just a thought, remember when the rumor came out the Braves were nearing an agreement with Gonzalez....now word came out that the Marlins really liked Camargo....I wonder if the Braves entertained at least the idea of trading Camargo for JTR, then signing Gonzalez...
