2019 MLB Draft Thread

Unless the Braves dont pay Dansby, i'm not sure where this pick will play though.

Ozzie/Dansby/Riley seems like a set 2B/SS/3B infield for the next 5-6 years. And of course FF at first provided they keep him.

Look the analytics Cubs took the 96th ranked prospect....

Ask yourself if you want the Braves to be more like the Astros/Cubs/Dodgers/Rays?

Contact hitters with low walk rates and average (Langaliers) or below-average (Shewmake) power. Weird profiles.

Can probably live with it from the former, but the latter is a real head-scratcher.

With today's ball anyone can develop power, as long as they make good contact. And in the age of three outcomes, not striking out may be an undervalued attribute. Not to say I'm thrilled, but maybe the Braves' pros know what they're doing.

He is versatile and will play all over the place like Ben Zobrist. No worries, I love the pick!

How can you grade a draft, until you know. Everyone hated the Soroka pick and he's our ace. I'm sure you did too.
Everyone loved the Allard/Herbert picks and hated the Riley/Soroka pick.

Again, reacting to drafts are so dumb. Yes, obviously smart teams draft better, but analyzing individual picks is nigh impossible.

Because it's fun

And I lover Soroka from the start. Been in his bandwagon the whole way. Full disclosure, I loved the Allard pick too.
