The Mets just traded for a SP that can contribute to 2 playoff runs in a season they aren’t in contention to make a playoff run. They paid the contenders premium for Stroman despite not being a contender.

This is freaking bizarre. If the Mets just got Stroman for a group of ****ty pitching prospects, then the Blue Jays are idiots. But the Mets are also idiots for trading for Stroman in the first place.
