2019 Trade Deadline Thread:

If Bauer really is available then he immediately becomes my number 1 target. His talent couple with his desire to take on 1 year contracts makes him immensely attractive to me.

An under the radar trade candidate I really like is Dylan Bundy. I was super high on this guy when he was a prospect. I would love to trade for Bundy/Givens assuming they are realistically priced by the Orioles. I think both are good candidates to break out in a better organization/environment. Only thing that makes me cringe is his GB rate. Under 40% is no bueno but I feel better about it knowing we will be adding an elite defender in CF soon. But what do I know.

Also would like to add Eric Sogard to our bench. I wouldn't bet on him repeating this year but I feel like we need a LH bench bat that can play more than just a corner outfield spot. We have a lot of power and he kind of the opposite in a gritty contact hitter.

I think nsacpi and I are the only ones here that are high on Wilson still.3

I view Wright has having higher upside but I could see Wilson being more reliable and consistent and not as dominant.

That's a pretty valuable commodity these days. I think Wright could net us a higher value player because of his name still. He hasn't been a bust yet. But I'd sell high.

And me. I have said for awhile that Wilson is our 2nd best pitching prospect.

Romo to the Twins for a 35+.

That’s essentially free.

Twins have had a very odd (and beneficial) trading relationship with the Rays. They got Odorizzi for IF Jermaine Palacios and he's really struggling in the mid-minors. Lewin Diaz has really upped his game this season, earning a promotion out of Ft. Myers to Pensacola with impressive power stats. Could be a mirage or a sign things are clicking. But still and to your point, it's not a hefty price.

It's possible the Indians would like a combination of prospects and major league starter for Bauer. Wonder if they would have interest in Gausman or Teheran.

Seems kind of odd if the Indians made Bauer available, considering how they’ve gotten back into things.

They have Salazar and Kluber coming back soon, so might not be a bad idea if they can help the ML club in other areas this season while still getting value for Bauer

According to a TRF source close to negotiations, a deal to send New York Mets pitchers Noah Syndergaard and Edwin Diaz to the Atlanta Braves is “95% sure” to happen before Wednesday’s 4:00 PM Eastern trade deadline.

The Mets are reportedly interested in Braves minor league pitchers Ian Anderson (AA – Mississippi Braves) as well Kyle Wright (AAA – Gwinnett Stripers). Two unnamed AA outfielders are also of interest to the Mets.

If the Braves do not land Syndergaard, the source believes they will turn their attention to Blue Jays P Marcus Stroman.

Anderson and Wright for Diaz and Thor? Don't know the outfielders yet but it says AA and I thought Pache was being promoted. If so that would be ****ing magnificent.
