Rarely would many people do any of his proposed deals, but some of Bowden's stuff is sometimes worth talking through when things are so slow.
On the XM show yesterday morning, he mentioned (no sources, just his thought) that we just match up too well with the Tigers that he thinks it would be relatively easy for AA to look at Detroit as a one-stop shop. That we could use all secondary pieces and put together a package good enough for Boyd, Greene, and Castellanos that would probably be better than the return they can get for them if they sell them separately.
It's at least a little interesting to think about. Say we sent them Wilson, Touki, Wentz, and Demeritte. Next season is the last year they're stuck with Zimmerman's contract, so (after gaming clocks) they'd be looking at Mize, Wilson, Norris, Touki, and Matt Manning as 2020 rotation options with Wentz and Skubal not far behind that. Demeritte would be an option for them right away at 2B, 3B, or LF if Stewart's capable of handling RF.
If Boyd actually is available, are they going to do better trying to split those three up considering what the Jays got for Stroman and the RPs have fetched so far?
