2020 Trade Deadline Thread

You’ve been pretty spot on predicting trade packages in the past. What would you say it would take to get Clevinger? Waters plus what?

My guess: Waters, Contreras, Wright, and filler.

Padres got fleeced

Who cares about some prospects that are a crap shoot to pan out or not. They needed help and got a solid hitting catcher. Kudos to them for being aggressive and shoring up a weakness in this fake season.

That seems like too much.

For Clevinger straight up I’m thinking

Inciarte
Waters
Wright
Jackson

If Contreras is in the deal instead of Jackson we gotta get another pretty decent piece back

Anyway I know I’m going all Murph here but when the lineup is healthy we can run out

Acuna RF
Albies 2B
Freeman 1B
Ozuna DH
Swanson SS
d’Arnaud C
Markakis/Duvall LF
Riley 3B
Pache CF

Camargo IF
Schebler OF
Flowers C
Markakis/Duvall OF/1B
Hechavarria IF

Fried LHP
Clevinger RHP
Anderson RHP
Malone LHP
Tomlin RHP

Matzek LHP
Minter LHP
Greene RHP
Melancon RHP
Smith LHP
Jackson RHP
Martin RHP
O’Day RHP
Dayton LHP

Back of the rotation’s still trash but the front is strong and the bullpen’s a strength. Deep lineup and versatility on the bench as well as being a strong defensive team.

Not sure we get Clevinger but i do think AA gets another SP. Kinda have to lol.

Not quite Murph. Needs to be wilder.

Braves get Clevinger, Bundy, Simmons

Indians get Waters, Contreras, Wright

Angels get Newk, Wilson, Camargo

Lmao that’s just an awful attempt at Murph on my end

You’ve got to be kidding me. What would the Indians want with Inciarte and Alex Jackson? They already have enough hitters who can’t hit their way out of a wet paper bag.

I dont see how this makes us any better, but i saw this on twitter:

Rumors out of Cleveland: Swanson and Ozuna for Lindor.

I’m on my own but I’m not interested in moving any of our of or catchers.

Maybe I’m stuck on a rebuild built around pitching cashing in is few position players for a pitcher.

I do not trust liberty. I want cheap position players ready if the cut payroll

I don't see us having the pieces to get Clevenger, but I don't know the Indians' MO. They are in the thick of their race and they need hitting and I don't see us having anything that would be of immediate help in that department for them. If they are thinking long-term, they are probably going to want one of our top drawer guys and that would mean someone in the Pache/Anderson strata of prospects along with Contreras or Langliers.

Taylor Trammell gets traded at the deadline for the second year in a row.

With the Mariners getting Ty France, does that make a Seager move more likely today?
