2022 Spring Training Thread

Wonder what Brandon Drury could be had for? Probably not much...heck he may not make the reds outta camp.

Wright starting game three, Ynoa game five.
Max, Charlie, Wright, Anderson then Ynoa is how the defending champs come out of the gate ..... probably Strider for game six so everyone gets extra rest ...

Its long overdue to give Wright 15 starts and let him sink or swim.

I think we will like the results and honestly feel he will have a better year than Anderson.

Wright has to stop walking people. Even in his great post season starts he's walked a ton and battled through.

He's struggled in the minors and the majors turning over a line up. So they need to figure out if that is a mental thing by him and/or a catching/game calling thing. Or just decide he's a 2-3 inning pitcher. And/or get him an opener.

JRod for Seattle made their Opening Day roster.

Maybe I'm making this up, but it seems like a lot more MLB-ready prospects are making teams out of the spring this year compared to previous years. Rodriguez, Witt, Torkelson, Brash, Pena, Duran, Hunter Greene, Riley Greene was going to make it before injury, Stott and Abrams still might.

Snit managed to bat Albies leadoff vs a LHP, and I'm in shock.

If he can somehow wrap his brain around platooning Albies and Rosario in the lead off spot...my head may explode.

I dare not imagine that he could figure out to put Acuna #2 when he gets back, and slide everyone else down a spot.

I'd be okay with Acuna in the 2-hole vs lefties, and in leadoff vs RH's.

Bowman actually just tweeted that the Albies/Rosario leadoff platoon is what the plan is before Acuña comes back.

My only concern is Bowman also said against righties, the top three will be Rosario-Albies-Olson. Which basically leaves Dickerson as the only LH bat in the lineup between 4-9.

Man Duvall… don’t waste this streak on Spring lol… you get like 2 or 3 torrid streaks a year… wait for the season!

He looked quite solid in the live game I saw on Friday; the Reds even had him playing SS.
