We can't solve the rest of the world's problems.

I understand that, but I also don’t accept it. I’ll always favor any policy that works to bring as many people globally out of abject poverty or danger as possible. I have no illusions that there will be much success on this front, and that policies will be enacted to protect the interests of Americans, just as other countries will do the same. But it’s a core belief of mine that a life is a life and is just as important wherever it is born, and I will support policies that align with that belief.

Boy CNN leaning hard into a dictator Trump dialogue .

I don’t even think their voters are that dumb, although they have been strung along thus far

It’s ok to say that your family is more important to you than someone half a globe away you never knew existed

One thing both sides agree on, important things to prepare before the debate

That belief while noble, isn't grounded in practicality. You don't create less poverty by accepting the impoverished from other countries. These countries have to create wealth themselves and they do that by keeping their own citizens and growing their economy. I would rather take the billions of dollars we spending on illegals right now and just hand it straight over to countries like Mexico, Guatemala, el Salvador, etc, rather than willing accept another illegal immigrant

And this is on CNN for crying out loud. I can't imagine how bad he's gonna get roasted by BBC and Fox.

It is, and all the other decisions I make is to better my family. I just don’t care about the people I see but don’t personally know any more than I care about the people I’ll never see.

I’m of the belief that we could spend literally hundreds of billions dollars less on defense than we actually do, so I don’t buy into the belief that we don’t have the resources to help more people than we do. I also don’t believe America alone should be responsible for helping others around the world, but other countries don’t let me vote.

At the end of the day it doesn’t really matter how idealistic my views on immigration and international aid are, though. The reality is that the system will generally keep on chugging, and every time I cast my ballot I’m doing so for people who will compromise and keep that system going. But I will always use my one vote on the candidate that I think will do the most to help those in need.

Again, it would be cheaper on Americans to simply pay those countries and help build their economies and strengthen their governments so that these people can stay there. If your so worried about reducing poverty, why isn't that your plan? You create far less poverty with this plan. Isn't that the goal?

As noble as you think your plan is, we simply cannot afford to support them, nor should Americans be expected to. For someone so concerned about the law, you seem not to care one bit that millions of people are breaking the law by crossing over illegally, enjoying the benefits of being an American while not paying any taxes. And by not stopping this, we are also freely ushering in criminals and terrorists without any sort way of tracking them.

Yeah sure, let’s go spend all that money in other countries. I’d prefer for people to not have to leave their homes to escape poverty. Lemme know how that next vote for foreign aid at the expense of our military budget goes.

I’m not overly concerned with the law, actually. I’m concerned with arresting people who have not broken any laws, such as thethe suggesting Trump arrest Obama for just doing things he thinks are bad. Many, many undocumented immigrants are actually paying their fair share of taxes by working here and having their payroll taxes withheld.

Here’s a tip …if your team goes into a presidential debate saying “OK, number one goal is our guy simply prove his mental fitness tonight,” if that concern is even on the table, STOP! He’s not the guy!
