Nothing says "not corrupt" like making policy decisions based on whether it will help or hurt companies he doesnt like.

So now trump is defending tik tok as the gop is moving toward banning it?

Heres a live look at thethe trying to justify that with his previous remarks on the vaccine.
I find myself in the somewhat surprising position of agreeing with Trump and Rand Paul here.
There are some issues that deserve to be seriously considered but I don't think a ban or even a forced divestiture is the correct way of proceeding.
If tik tok is doing anything illegal we should enforce our laws. If it is doing something legal but problematic we should enact and enforce some new laws to deal with the problem.

"I hope saner minds will reflect on which is more dangerous: videos of teenagers dancing or the precedent of the U.S. government banning speech," Paul wrote. "For me, it’s an easy answer, I will defend the Bill of Rights against all comers, even, if need be, from members of my own party."
He added: "If you don’t like TikTok or Facebook or YouTube, don’t use them. But don’t think any interpretation of the Constitution gives you the right to ban them."
There is but that's coming from people like me not the ccp. What we do need to understand is if there is a coordinated operation to target young people and poison their minds.
My father LEGALLY immigrated from Uruguay but his family was Eastern European (fled from Nazi's).
Next question?
Should people who for a time were here illegally be now deported if they have attained legal status.
What did Trump say about Tik tok while he was president? Specifically, what did he pronounce in his EO?
