2024 Field

This is actually very debatable before you even get to Obama’s involvement or legal culpability in the decision. Still, if we want to start prosecuting those in power over drone strikes, I’ll jump on that wagon.

Great. So you agree with thethe and support Trump putting Obama in jail

My work brought me to Philly this week and last night I met up with a local colleague and his wife. Smart, successful people.

The man told me he's voting for Biden, bit secretly hopes Trump wins. I asked why, he said he needs to be able to tell people he voted for Biden

Separately, the woman asked me if I was nervous expecting a baby in Texas, where they now kill mothers due to the abortion law

Not sure how to fix this

How exactly is it debatable? The US Government does not and should not have sweeping power to target and kill American citizens unless they are displaying a clear and present danger. Being part of a terrorist organization is not in and of itself grounds for an assassination.

Gradually - Over decades. Like anything else meaningful after decades of propaganda.

Feels like would need to be charged and convicted first.

Kill mothers

lol

How insane is it that a presidential candidate refused to take a drug test before a debate?

And this is who some want to vote for?

I mean I wouldn't either if I was him, even if I was clean.

There is nothing to gain by doing it. A clean test isn't going to change the opinion of likely Trump voters. There will be countless conspiracy's on twitter about falsified results and people will focus more on the test results than then actual debate.

If he was 'clean' and performed well at the debate it would absolutely crush one of the biggest reasons to not vote for him.

He has only to gain if he is clean. He isn't doing it because he isn't...

It wouldn't change anything. The amount of voters likely to be influenced by a negative test is minimal. The amount of voters he stands to lose with a failed or contended drug test is very substantial.

I mean, you’re welcome to Google the topic to determine why it’s debatable. It gets into Constitutional law arguments I’m not qualified to make. I’m still mostly put off by the fact that we’re only seeming to have that energy for American citizens, when it should just be the case that they shouldn’t be able to target and kill anybody in the world who isn’t displaying a clear and present danger.

I am concerned about that, but far less so than what happens to actual US Citizens who have rights protected by the constitution.

I just don’t understand the ethics behind this thinking. It’s a procedural difference, not a moral one.
