Why would I read a book for a token politician. I wouldn’t even read a trump book. I can’t imagine a more worthless topic to spend my valueable time reading.

The book deal predated all of this. I just can’t believe how lost you are on this. That was the beginning of compromising desantis so that he would fracture the party. This is not an intention if desantis. It’s the intention of the people who don’t care about hkm at all. The plan is destroy both trump and desantis so Carlyle group guy is the next president.

After an obvious stolent election where trump won (sturgs thoughts) there is no sane reason why anyone would run against him in 24 when he’s clearly still the preferred candidate for R voters. Taking the book deal is the precursor to a presidential run and this was even before the 22 election. I’m not sure what else to tell you. Desantis has made it clear for a LONG time he was going to run because the problem that gave him his book deal money most likely made it a part of the deal.

Me personally? I choose to believe RDS was an enormously popular and consequential public figure (not boring and irellevant as you claimed.). I believe post covid, he has a story to tell that people will pay to hear. And I believe he is seizing that opportunity to make money.
